Highly recommended Guest house in Lancaster, close to City centre shops, restaurants and attractions as well as the Lake District. The owners will help you with advice for where to visit in the City, where the best shops, restaurants and bars are and where to visit nearby such as the Lakes, Windermere, Grasmere, Coniston and other places like Kendal or... Nice place, friendly host, rooms clean and ok. Close enough to get easily into town, but just enough out of town for it to be quiet. I did worry about the train station being literally just behind us but the trains stop quite early and dont start again until the sun is well up so there was no trouble with... More

Stopped here as an overnight stop on a very long drive to Wales. It was £55 for a double room which I thought was reasonable. Is bed only but this isn't a problem as we found somewhere nearby for breakfast. Couple minutes walk to the centre so great location with a large car park. Room was small but was clean... More

When we went it was Bed only (as advised) but for the cost this is not a problem (especially with plenty of breakfast options in Lancaster). The room was nice and clean as expected and had the added bonus (if staying a little longer) of having a full sized fridge, a microwave and table. The room especially suits those who... More

The Station House is a great Guest House in Lancaster close to the City Centre with a great free car park for guests with plenty of room for parking, it is a comfortable, tastefully furnished converted Station Masters house and just a stroll from a great Bistro restaurant, the bars and other restaurants, the shops and the Castle. Half an... More

I stayed at the wonderful Old Station House, they are based right in the heart of Lancaster with easy access to local public transport links, Lancaster castle, the city centre of Lancaster and the Lancaster museum. Lancaster is a beautiful town with a very rich history and my stay at the Old Station House was the icing on the cake,... More

Located in the center of Lancaster close to bars and restaurants. I stopped for one night whilst visiting friends and family, I found my room clean and tidy and I would defiantly stop here again as it was good value.

The Station House is a great bed and breakfast in the centre of Lancaster, close to all the restaurants, bars, tourist spots like Lancaster Castle, the Roman Baths, the Lake district and Morecambe. It is furnished well and is a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. They provide a continental breakfast. The hosts will make you feel at home and... More

Stayed for one night, the room was ok and was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. This is now a guest house and they no longer serve breakfast. The location is good, just around the corner from the Castle and close to the town center.

I stayed six nights at the Old Station House Bed and Breakfast. Unfortunately, since reserving it in the last summer, the breakfast side of the B&B fell away. I did get a large en-suite room though, perhaps reflecting the change since I booked. Cafes are open from 7.30 in town so there is no problem getting a breakfast within five... More
