Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I'm pretty sure I will be the first to review this hotel - as I was the first guest to stay here.

First impressions were pretty good. Last minute touch up of the paint work on arrival gave the whole place a freshly painted look (and smell).

I was impressed with the reception - and was room upgraded - (so hardly anything to complain about there).

My room was a good size, well appointed and clean. I was on the front side - so right on the road, but the windows are double glazed - so not overly noisy.

A clean and good size en suite (with all the condiments). Tea and coffee making facilities (no biscuits!). I asked for an iron and ironing board - they did not have - but I'm sure they will sort that out as they get into the swing of things. Wifi is available - and worked well.

Meals are served - breakfast, lunch and dinner - but I did not eat here. (diet!)

The room is decorated in a horse racing theme - so it's clear to see the clientele they are aiming at - but it also makes sense as this is a feature of this part town.

Would I stay here again - most definitely - it was well priced and comfortable and close to where I needed to be the next day.

Just the one saturday night stay. Warm welcome, clean comfortable room with all commonly expected facilities. Decor is overwhelmingly horse racing themed but is well done. Good size car park and we were allowed to leave the car there all day Sunday while we went on a rail trip. Breakfast is Continental only, which we knew beforehand, but is generous with plenty of choices. For the cost we have no complaints whatsoever.

Gorgeous room. Clean and tidy. Loved the friendly couple who run it. Cute doggies too!! All in all, a great hotel. Well placed for city centre and station. Parking at rear. Would definitely recommend.

Such a cute hotel - fun decor and the owners were so nice. Bed was comfortable, good shower, nice sized room, good price. And best of all - puppies Bella and Simba (rescues, so even more points). If I’m in Doncaster again, I’ll definitely stay there.

Rang this hotel by chance on the day and they fitted us in at very short notice. We were upgraded upon arrival and the room was superb....Thank you! So clean and comfortable.

We had to leave really early before anyone was at Reception and know if we had would have had as warm and friendly goodbye as much as we had on arrival. Lovely receptionist and such a friendly person.

Huge car park around the back, safe and secure - hotel and car park is well signposted.

Highly recommended.

Arrived a little earlier than planned but room was available
Hotel reception was spotlessly clean reception service first class
Room on first floor number 4 large. Double room with large ensuite, the room again was very clean and well set out keys were electronic so no bulky set to carry around the same key card was used for access to the main door in the evening,
After a good nights sleep uninterrupted as noise level was minimal breakfast was the next step
Met at the breakfast area by one of the owners we selected the seat and were then invited to help ourself to the cereals and pastries available plus choice of tea and coffee (percolated)
Breakfast was a full English or selection ,
The full English consisted of usual but came with 2 eggs plus portions of bacon and sausage were large all was cooked very well with no grease
No doubt that the new owners are making an excellent start
The hotel is 1 Mile from the racecourse walking down the side of a park,
In the evening again it is a 10 minute stroll into the town centre
Excellent service and excellent value for money

I chose this hotel for my leisure stay as it was close to the city centre, so location is great.
I felt very welcomed on my arrival, there was a good vibe about the hotel. The lady was down to earth and lovely. Everything catered for here.
The bed i had here is the comfiest bed I've ever slept in and the shower was just great.

I stayed here for one night and it was extremely comfortable. Big bedroom and bathroom. Everything clean, really friendly staff, Honestly, everything you could wish for and only a stones throw from the town centre.
If I return to Doncaster this would be my first choice.
