Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I stayed for one night and were very impressed. The man on reception was very helpful and suggested we had a room at the back of the building as there were overnight roadworks on the motorway slip road. Our room backed onto a field and we didn't hear any noise from the car park, roadworks or traffic on the nearby M18. There are shops on site including Greggs and Burger King so getting something to eat is no problem. I would stay here again.

Booked online last minute for a family stopover enroute to friends. Easy to use and excellent value for money. Staff receptive, room very clean and comfortable. Discounted use of Motorway services which was very helpful in meeting the demands of our 6 year old son.

Visiting family nearby. We stay regularly at Travel Lodge depending which one has the best price closest to home town. Never had any problems. We stayed Lakeside at Christmas as this was more central but price was dearer this time

We arrived approx 9pm welcomed by a member of the reception team, quick check-in and rooms easy to find, and secured from the services with a key fob access door.

Our only mild issue was the smell of rhe coridoors was musty, much alike being on an airline.

The bulbs flicker considerably before they fully alight, and there was severe limescale in the portable kettle provided. Rooms warm and quiet. Check-out no problem.

We stop here as it was ideal for a funeral we was attending in the area, But when on arrival no one was on the desk, then as we seen a screen so we started to enter in details of the car reg which a member of staff came out, which I explained we had a booking she moved the screen away from my partner which he hadn't finished in typing so he tried top turn it back in the woman said don't touch that it will fall off which she was had a attuited about it. If people aren't meant to touch the screen maybe have a notice up !!!! after this event she told us the wrong room but as we aren't stupid we checked the key number but my advice there is that this person should not of been on reception due to her lack of helpfulness, you want to be welcomed after a long journey.

So once in the room we come across the cup which has a black hair in which we could not drink out of it as it looked like someone pubes ..but it was pointless to talk to you receptionist because she couldn't be bothered over all.

The only reason I choose this hotel is because you got the motorway right on your doorstep but there is nicer hotels around so the area so for me I would not recommend this hotel .

Very clean and comfortable night spent here. Good facilities at the Moto services with Greggs for breakfast before a quick getaway onto the motorway. Sometimes difficult to find this Travelodge on the app as it doesn't seem to register under towns but rather by motorway - so type in M18 when searching and up it pops. Even better it's free parking overnight. rooms are average only because they could do with a bit of a spruce up but at the price they are charging I'm not going to complain about it.

Another great stay. This location is perfect for us for when we are travelling by coach early the following day and we get picked up from this service area. The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff are very helpful and the rooms comfortable and very reasonably priced. Even though it's on a service area it's very quiet. There are the usual eateries in the service area complex, but there's little else around it, though local takeaways may deliver.

Booked one night stay. Arrived late but checked in ok, receptionist was friendly and helpful. Plesant hotel room, clean with the usual facilities. The motel is part of a service area which is quite useful as there are a number of food outlets next to the reception area (some of the shops offer 20% off purchases if you’re staying at Travelodge). I would recommend this Travelodge.

You'd enjoy the cardboard box more. I've already left a full review earlier, so I wonder why I have to repeat myself again. Probably my fault for not reading what I was getting for my £11 breakfast. I paid for a double room with single occpancy, but only received a single Breakfast Box, cost £5,50, value £0.50. Had I realised I would have asked for two boxes so both could be dumped in the bin. Utter garbage.
