Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for the first time while working 3 long days at DRI (hospital) and too far to travel daily. I needed someplace close and a resting place. Wow! Anna is just gorgeous and brilliant. I had room 2. Large double and a single. This place is spotless and the en-suite was perfectly clean and with a good powerful shower. Fridge, hairdryer toaster ironing board and iron and kettle and tea and coffee provided in the room as well as a toaster and toiletries and great towels. Microwave outside the door which you can take into your room for use and then return. My bed was so comfy I slept like a log. I never sleep well! Large telly. Brilliant fast WiFi free of charge. It’s old fashioned in decor but who cares when you could eat your dinner of the floor and you have a kind and more than welcoming host. I wouldn’t stay anyplace else while I’m doing a few 12 hour back to back shifts at the hospital. Thanks a million Anna.

I have been working away for nearly a year now, I recently moved to Doncaster in April, due to working away, I am always moving hotel to hotel trying to find the most comfortable and cheapest hotel to live in whilst working, my friend highly quoted townfields hotel and said if I go here then it will work out much better. I came to see the owner of hotel and her name is Anna, she is a very friendly, easy to talk to, very nice lady and said I could stay here long-term because working here, and at a reasonable low weekly cost, I said I will be here at least 2 month but after living here so far, I may extend an extra few month, its a very spacious comfortable nicely decorated room, and has very comfortable four poster bed with massive tv fixed to the wall, plenty of space in wardrobes & drawers, some kitchenware and microwave and a mini fridge, I am also getting moved to a bigger room with big spacious balcony with great views when available at no extra cost, out of all the hotels I have been to, this one is definitely my favourite and I have no intentions leaving until I get a job elsewhere and have to re-locate, thank you Anna for such a pleasant stay, kind regards, Chris macaffer

Having recently started a new work contract in Doncaster, I was looking for a hotel I could stay in on a regular basis during the working week. I found this gem of a hotel from a simple Google search, and couldn't believe my luck when I phoned Anna, the owner, to find she had availability. I am now in my 3rd week here and I love it, the house is traditionally decorated and absolutely beautiful, the room I stay in is lovely, spotlessly clean, with a fantastic en-suite, a very comfortable four poster bed, and a huge TV on the wall. Anna is lovely too, very friendly and approachable, which makes a big difference, especially when staying regularly. And a final added bonus being that not many hotels can boast a knight in shining armour to guard their customers' cars in the car park (you'll just have to book and stay here to understand that comment!) If you are looking for a place to stay that's within walking distance to Doncaster city centre, look no further than the Townfields Hotel!

Fantastic rooms with great furniture and extremely comfortable beds. The clincher is off road, secured parking (behind 2 gates). The price per night is simply unbeatable, as is the service. The location is within a 5 minute walk of the town and other amenities.

Clean, comfortable and highly recommended place to stay in Doncaster for work. Secure CCTV monitored off road parking. Another additional advantage for me is that it is 10 minutes away from the hospital where I work.
