This hotel is conveniently located on the high street with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was a reasonable size if not a little tired. The bathroom blind was nothing more that a piece of very thin cheap fabric. Our room faced the road and we could here the traffic going by. Staff on reception were polite and efficient. Parking good. We were seated at a table in the conservatory. We were not informed that juices were self serve and had to get up and find our waitress after being seated for 35 mins and no one had come over to take our order. The fruit salad was full of apples and pineapple and not much else. We then had to prompt the waitress for our cooked breakfast which was edible. Overall we thought we may return but would definitely give breakfast a miss next time as there are plenty of options on the high street where hopefully the service will be better.…
We stayed at the Noel arms , this was our very first trip away as a couple , we arrived at chipping campden around 1ish and the room was ready for us both straight away! The female staff at the reception desk very polite and we both received a warm welcome! Room was extremely clean, the bathroom was also immaculate and bed was comfy. The meals at the hotel were very limited of choice, so we had to eat out somewhere within the village. Breakfast was tasty and well presented but very rationed , we both expected a bit more on the plate to travel out for the day. But we would both go again if the menu had more options and if the food portions sizes changed , but other than that the staff were all polite and we enjoyed our stay!
In Room 23, nice room on ground floor near car park, very quiet. Good linen and comfy bed. Blonde receptionist who checked us in on Friday and checked us out on Saturday was very pleasant as were all staff. Would highly recommend
My wife and I stayed at the Noel Arms with friends. It was rather good. the rooms comfortable, the staff very helpful and the atmosphere pleasant. It is clearly well run and looked after by a team who do their job very well. I have an ankle injury and the staff were most considerate. Parking is safe and behind the hotel and breakfast was very good indeed. Highly recommended and all in the superb setting of Chipping Campden.
6-4-22. Just returned home from one night at the Noel Arms Hotel. We had booked two nights with a Virgin Getaways voucher but stayed for only one, despite this meant we lost the money paid to Virgin for the second night. As far as our room (No 7) was concerned, this is not a four star hotel due to the internal decor … woodwork requires significant attention, dressing table mirror simply requires putting in a skip , and whoever gave them the curtains ? Room No 7 looks out onto a outside patio area and across from the windows of other rooms. Whilst the hotel closes at 11-00pm, there is no arrangement for the patio area to be cleared. Hence people are allowed to remain in this area for as long as they wish … along with the noise they make. Also within the patio area is a large boxed noisy metal fan for some type of ventilation for perhaps the kitchen or bar … need I elaborate ? There is no choice but to sleep with the windows closed. Talking of windows, this is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that had a large bathroom window overlooking the patio and across from other room windows. “So what” I hear you say. Well, this large window has plain see- through glass !! Needless to say, using the toilet or having a shower was a major challenge. Oh, in fairness, there was an old window blind you could pull down. It is correct to say that the hotel was very apologetic concerning our experience of the room. They offered to move us to another room for our second night and even offered to move us to their “sister” hotel. However, the overall experience, plus a bad night’s sleep, had spoilt our planned two-day Cotswold break and we just wanted to get back to the comfort of our home.…
what a great place to stay. the staff are amazing and nothing is to much trouble for them. i would realy recomend it. also its a great location and base fora perfect weekend stay. great places of interest nearby. thanks for our lovely stay
We stayed here for two nights and had a lovely time. The hotel is clean, the staff are all welcoming and friendly.....nothing was too much for them. Our room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The menu in the restaurant had a good selection and all the food was delicious - we had one meal included in our deal but went back on the second night to try different dishes. The cakes in the little coffee shop are lovely and fresh, especially the chocolate brownie!
Lovely Hotel with great food and service! Cotswold Ale went down well! Good parking at the rear of the Hotel. Well presented room and bathroom. The Hotel has it's own "Coffee Shop" with reasonably priced coffee and cakes. Cosy Bar with it's own log fire and really good atmosphere to relax and enjoy a drink. Interesting Breakfast Menu; "Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs" Staff were all helpful and friendly! Would certainly return to this Hotel for another short break!
We used a Virgin Experience voucher for an overnight stay at this hotel. Beautiful hotel, clean and cosy and very friendly staff. Parking available on site and fortunately we were able to check in early. It has WiFi available too. We were in room 16 - clean room and bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. Not much of a view but that didn’t spoil it. We used the downstairs coffee bar, reasonably priced for drinks and cakes and we enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast, lots of different options available (this was included with the voucher). They also have a bar where you could order food at lunch or in the evening. Highly recommend a stay here. It is dog friendly too.
Hotel tried charging £10 extra for no reason at all we refused to pay it as we had agreed a price with booking.com breakfast we waited for half hour then it was like warm but the toast had gone cold as that was bought out with drinks. No refills for tea coffee no sauces offered breakfast staff very sharp especially the girl showing you to table.rooms were OK Drinks in bar to expensive we cancelled dinner there nothing special its central location is good.
