Went here on recommendation as a party of 7, 3 from the USA. The place ticks all the boxes from the quaint, old pub perspective. We had service and food quality issues, which after raising with the manager were suitably addressed. We should have stayed here for three nights and only stayed for one. We were in room 6 which was over the refrigerated area and beer store. We did not mind the noise of the changing of the beer barrels as it stopped when the pub closed. The fridge motor though was going on all night long and kicking in...

Had Sunday lunch here, and whilst the food was tasty, the portions were meagre relative to the price. The plate of veg served with the roast was miserable and miserly (it consisted of some over cooked broccoli and mashed swede).
