I should have done this review long ago. My Granddaughter and I were guest at this lovely B & B in July of this year. It is nearby High street and easy walking distance to many sites, restaurants and walking trails. Each morning greeted us with a delicious breakfast and we slept like babies in the very comfortable beds. The slanted roofs didn't bother us at all (we aren't real tall either though). We felt tucked in cozy and comfortable lulled to sleep by the coo of pigeons in the area with our window open! Such lovely gardens!!!! Roger was so kind to give us a lift to some nearby gardens and even came back to collect us when we could not get a response from the taxi in the area. Our first trip out of the USA and we felt so welcomed and cared for, many thanks Roger and Lesley for a lovely stay.…
Basic accommodations. Slanted ceilings in room make it difficult to move. Soft sheets and comfortable bed.mAverage breakfast. Cash only ... $100 USD seems overpriced for such a basic room. Owners are friendly and helpful. Good location with on street parking if available.
With a wonderfully close to town location, clean and bright rooms, gracious hosts, and a most generous and delicious breakfast, we highly recommend this place to stay. There are only three rooms available and as we were traveling with another couple, we actually had the place to ourselves. (One bedroom with a queen bed shared a bathroom with another bedroom that had twin beds. It would be great set up for a family traveling with children.) There is a private entry for guests so we were able to come and go without bothering the owners. However, they willingly let us use their back patio for a late afternoon "happy hour" with goodies and wine purchased in town. Restaurants, driving tours, and local sites were recommended and all turned out to be great choices. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chipping Campden, due in a large part to this B&B and its owners.…
Stonecroft B&B has one good size room and one room is good for one person only with a double bed. This an attic room has a very low ceiling. We paid cash, but had to wait while they went through room to make sure we did not steal anything. Not a very friendly place.
I spent two very peaceful nights here. The hosts are extraordinarily friendly -- without being at all intrusive -- and the cooked-to-order breakfasts were great. (They even went out of their way to buy some gluten-free bread for me and send the leftovers along with me when I parted.) The rooms upstairs are directly under the roof, with sloping ceilings, and very tall people might find this a bit confining, but I found it cozy. Note that, while they accept deposits online with credit cards, the hosts ask you to settle your final bill in cash, but there's an ATM just a couple of hundred meters away. Chipping Camden itself is a charming town, with easy access to the Cotswold Way and only a short drive to Stratford-upon-Avon.
