Lovely big old fashioned hotel with great food and big grand conference rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. What let this hotel down was the wastefulness. Power burning light bulbs all over the place. I have no connection to Osram, but these LED bulbs are as good as halogens (I have them in my house) are warm and bright. Time...

Just returned from one night stay. Room spacious and clean. Bed large and comfy, best night sleep ever. Staff professional but friendly. Special mention for Kevin on reception (even if he did not know who Joan Armatrading was) and the lady in the restaurant whose name I did not get but who worked tirelessly at breakfast ensuring we were topped...

We really enjoyed our one nights stay at the Midland Hotel earlier this week real luxury and excellent food and service. Our breakfast was made very good by one very natural young lady called Devon Sharples who was an excellent ambassador for the hotel. We look forward to returning to the Midland PS

Excellent comfortable and conveniently placed hotel with attentive efficient staff. Hospitality good in the beautiful Octagon Lounge. Only criticism is the all pervading smell of synthetic citrus which permeates the public areas, Great place to stay to visit the attractions of Manchester.

I was revisiting Manchester after a gap of 45 years, having been an undergraduate in the late 60s. The Midland Hotel was, all those years ago, seen as the top of the range of hotels in the city and due to an inexplicable lack of funds as a student, I’d never darkened its doors. A University open day and my...

I have stayed at the Midland a few times now and have never been disappointed. The staff are always helpful, food is excellent and the grandeur of the hotel is breathtaking without making you feel uncomfortable. The rooms are always of the highest standard of cleanliness and we always leave feeling relaxed and spoiled. Love the cocktails too! I have...

Stayed at the Midland for a few nights, décor really nicely done, staff on reception really friendly, quick check in, but must mention Colin Prescott's hot chocolate from the Octagon Lounge - absolutely to die for, so if visiting order one of these.

Warm welcome from all within the hotel area. Great centre piece when you first enter the hotel. Rooms were immaculate and Joe (concierge) was a great help when i'd lost my bank cards and already checked out. Happily escorted me back to my room and found them straight away under the sofa-nothing seemed to much trouble!

This is my favourite hotel in Manchester. And believe me, I've stayed in a few! Great location. It's all very grand but not in an old fashioned way. The rooms are really well designed. Great blend of modern chic and luxurious comfort. I could have stayed in the bath for days! Very clean. Staff are so professional and welcoming. Breakfast...

Stayed here for 2 nights on my friends hen party. From arriving to departing we were treated like royalty. The rooms were so big and spacious. The beds were so comfy. The only down fall is we had to leave. Will be calling there again and hopefully sooner rather then later.
