This is the worst hotel I stayed for the price paid... I paid 99 pounds for one night which is ridiculous and after looking at professional pictures on hotels.com and booking.com, I thought I got reasonable bargain as it's in city centre [picadelly gardens ] but def won't go back to this hotel. Please see my pictures to get basic...

Stone Roses were playing, Manchester was full. I was very grateful to find a single room (think it was the only one available). But it was very basic for the price. Rather tacky furniture. Excellent breakfast, best vegetarian option I have had anywhere.

Good Morning Sian Many thanks for taking the time to post your review, I will pass on your comments concerning the breakfast to the chef. The Veggie sausages I have to admit are lovely. We hope to see you again soon.

Location is excellent close to the northern quarter and centre. The hotel itself isn't that nice, just generally needs an update. Strange smell in the lift and stairways. I wouldn't rush to stay here again but location is great.

This hotel needed renovating about 20 years ago! The first couple of pictures are very misleading as that is a deluxe room. I could hear someone snoring in the next room because the walls were so thin, the room was unbelievably hot and I had to have a cold shower because the water from the hot tap came out boiling....

We stayed in a double executive room, which was really nice, clean and comfortable. Location was amazing for everything, staff were friendly and helpful, the only negative comment we had was that the lift smelt a bit!

Thank you Joanna for your comments, I work with a fabulous team and it is nice for the hard work to be recognised. I will check with the lift contractor concerning an odour in the lift. Hope to see you again soon Katy

This hotel is nice enough for a budget hotel, but there are a couple of things that could be improved. Outside the bedroom window was an air vent which would systematically turn on and off throughout the night, waking me up. The shower was never a consistent temperature, flushing hot and cold all the time. Also, the window didn't shut...

The passages and stairways are in need of redecoration. That aside, I thought it was a charming, old-fashioned sort of place - unbeatable location, our room was clean, comfortable and spacious, very good shower (although temperature control was a bit comedic), pleasant and helpful staff. I don't normally stay in the same hotel twice but would certainly consider staying here...

When we first arrived I was a bit horrified to find the entrance between two shops and wondered what on earth I'd booked. In fact, once up the stairs, it was like stepping into another world. The staff were so nice and friendly, the room adquate with a safe bath, and the breakfast was outstanding. Brilliant location within easy walking...

Quick one night stay with the missis and for what we paid for it couldnt be faulted. Central location, clean, fair sized rooms and great staff (bar the miserable swine who served breakfast, but tbf we came down with 5 min to spare) and a really tasty breakfast, definitely stay again.

Cheap and cheerful and close to the train station and central location. Room was clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and nice big bathroom with bath. Great stay. Would stay there again.
