Great stay on 25.06. Staff very welcoming and attentive but not over baring and were discreet. Excellent room, bed, bathroom, shower and all facilities in the room. The hotel is immaculate throughout and smells fresh (what is that scent in the corridors by the lifts)?just amazing. Hotel is located perfectly for all key areas for leisure including shopping, drinks and food. I’ve already booked to go back in late November. Wow! Lets firstly talk about the décor of this hotel, every detail is finished off impeccably. The rooms are luxurious, comfortable and creative. The staff were friendly and informative. Jimmy in particular was welcoming and was also able to give me a detailed historic background of the hotel and how its has been transformed to where it is today. Champagne on arrival at check in was a lovely touch, especially after my 4 hour car journey! So was much needed! There is a scent you can smell in the hotel which is divine, its everywhere from the lift to the stairs, reception and even the corridors to the rooms. After asking about this, it comes from the air vents and its the hotel's own scent and brand. So beautiful, another detailed touch which takes this hotel to the next level. Couldn’t have celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary anywhere better. The hotels fixtures and fittings were of excellent quality. The inside of the old Stock Exchange has retained a lot of the original features , and the ceiling in the dining room (which was the trading floor) is simply magnificent.

I have already stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions, and despite an excellent choice of luxury places to stay in the City I always find myself returning to this hotel. Yes it is beautiful, yes the Bull and Bear is exceptional and yes the service is excellent but I keep coming back because there is an atmosphere there that really makes me feel like I want to return. The staff are such a credit to the hotel and they manage to make each guest feel welcome and at home. I am just back from a very quick visit and had such a great time once again. Stylish, grown up, classy and friendly welcome . Everything was gorgeous.. stay can't do enough, smells fab, breakfast top, decor and furniture top. Didn't have dinner but had drinks in bar, lovely . Perfect.
