The voco Manchester - City Centre, an IHG Hotel, is celebrated for its spotless rooms and modern amenities, offering a stylish atmosphere with unique touches. Guests have called out the lively bar and spacious, well-equipped rooms, though some have noted occasional noise. While many travelers commend the hotel's value, others suggest prices may not always reflect the experience. The central location is a highlight, providing easy access to local attractions. Service is generally excellent, with a few reports of housekeeping inconsistencies.

What’s not to like…absolutely nothing!

I stayed in room 811 on the 8th floor.

Big shout out to the following – Dennis, James Andreea and Sue – you all made my stay so memorable. Thank you Dennis for the complimentary prosecco and recommendation for the braised rib of beef. Absolutely delicious, as was the Blonde Mink cocktail. The extensive range of cocktails is fabulous. I wanted to try them all! There is an extensive range of starters, mains, sides and desserts, all very reasonably price. I had a starter, main, 2 side dishes and a cocktail and it was £39.00.

The bed is so comfortable as are the pillows. I didn’t want to get out of bed and I slept like a baby, makes a good change for me!

There are White Company Noir toiletries to include hand wash, shower gel and conditioning shampoo. They smell dIvine. One little recommendation – perhaps add some Noir body lotion.

The toilet paper is so soft…not like some hotels. The towels are huge, white and fluffy and there's plenty of them.

The shower is quite big and has rain shower head and hand held shower. Easy controls. There is a wash basin and toilet.

One further recommendation – there is a glass panel in the bathroom from which you can see out into the bedroom area. Perhaps put a blind in there so people can choose whether they want privacy or not. I’ve been married since 1996 and I’m not too certain whether i’d want my husband to see me sitting on the loo!

There is an iron and ironing board, SMEG fridge filled with alcohol, soft drinks and chocolates (at extra charge), complimentary safe, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, coffee, tea, sugar and milk. 2 cans of water. Biscuits. Massive flat screen TV. DAB radio on one of the bedside tables. I listened to some great classic rock music on Absolute Rock Radio.

There is a circular table and a chair, plus a few books to read and papers. There is also a hairdryer which was very powerful.

There are floor to ceiling windows with great views over the rooftops of the city centre.

The cleanliness is second to none, everything is done in black, grey and white tones with clean lines, whoever the interior designer is you did a fantastic job. I know this hotel is very new and everything is pristine - please guys keep it this way.

Would i stay again…absolutely!

This is now my favourite hotel in Manchester! Great job guys!

Booked a stay here through my Travel Agency business which included complimentary late check out and a £40 spend on food and drink (per room). The Hotel has only recently just opened following a delay due to COVID-19. Conveniently located in the centre of Manchester minutes from the shops, bars and restaurants (not that you need to leave the hotel to experience fine food) this hotel is excellent value for money.

We arrived at the hotel around 2.30pm and were able to check in early as our rooms were ready. Check in was completed in a matter of minutes and was seamless.

We paid £109 per room for a Saturday night stay and have to say we were very impressed with the hotel. The rooms are immaculate, beds comfy, bathrooms are finished with high end fittings and complimentary use of the toiletries (which smell amazing) The shower does have a window that looks out into the bedroom area, but you can request rooms which have a privacy screen installed if this is an issue.

We'd also booked the Bottomless Brunch option at the Runyons restaurant which is situated on the ground floor of the hotel. The brunch is served between 12 and 4 Saturdays and Sundays and is amazing value for money at just £25 per person and we could even use the £40 voucher that we had towards this, meaning we had unlimited Prosecco and food for 90 minutes. You simply order with a member of staff, which food options you would like and they bring them over to you once ready.

We had the pleasure of being served by Lou, a lovely lady from Portugal, she made us feel welcome and built up a rapport with her instantly, she ensured our glasses were topped up and gave us recommendations off the menu for dishes to try. Nothing was too much trouble and she took the time to chat to us about Portugal and our plans for the evening. She's a credit to the hotel. All of the other staff members who we encountered were friendly as well and again, nothing was too much trouble.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be using again for future visits to Manchester.

What a surreal experience in light of Corona and not the lager!
We enjoyed our stay at Brooklyn an absolutely lovely hotel, wonderful staff, great ambiance despite the circumstances and brilliant service.
We loved the layout of the bedroom, the bathroom was fabulous with some fantastic features not forgetting the delicious smelling Noir toiletries and the wall mural was fun.
We had a very relaxing and comfortable sleep, the shower was powerful and refreshing loved the window through to the bedroom and thought the hole through to the controls was an excellent idea.
We were treated to breakfast in bed due to the circumstances which was very tasty and hot.
Loved the staff uniforms in particular the young ladies bright red dresses. Reception were really friendly on check in and out. We had a good bit of banter on leaving.
We will definitely be back when normality resumes.

We arrived at the Hotel Brooklyn to be greeted by attentive staff and directed to a self serve check in kiosk, which made our arrival quick and easy. Our room was on the 5th floor which was modern and quirky, very clean, and with a range of amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a great nights sleep. After an evening out in Manchester we went for a few drinks in Runyons (the hotel bar) which had a wide range of drinks and were reasonable in price for a city centre hotel bar. The following morning we were offered an extensive breakfast, all of which was delicious - the waffle machine is a great touch! My only critique is the bathroom "viewing window" - this gives a full view from the bedroom into the bathroom including the toilet. The glass is slightly tinted but this is useless at night. All in all it's a really nice hotel, modern, clean and excellent staff. A great addition to Manchester.

I stayed here on Friday 11th September with my partner & son who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy & uses an electric wheelchair. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome & check in, in the spacious reception area.
My young sons room was fully accessible for him with plenty of space to manoeuvre his chair, a lovely big bed & all amenities being within reach, including the emergency help button direct to reception. He felt very comfortable, safe & independent staying in this room alone, with us staying next door in the interconnecting suite. His bathroom was wet room style, fully fitted with special safety handles & accessible in his chair.
He found it easy to use the lifts & was fine turning round.
The amazing staff couldn't do enough for us & are specially trained to attend to the needs of disabled people. Everything was made effortless especially in the restaurant for our evening meal & breakfast which I must say the food was absolutely delicious.
Our overall stay & experience was exceptional in this stunning new hotel. It really did feel like we were in Brooklyn.

We stayed at the Hotel Brooklyn despite being Manchester residents as I booked as a surprise for my husband’s 40th birthday. They hotel went above and beyond with lovely touches in the room such as a birthday banner, petals on the bed and a lovely cake for him.

The hotel itself being brand new is obviously spotless. The design is right up my street being very modern with fabulous touches such as the coffee machine and a hole in the shower screen to switch on the shower without getting drenched.

The staff were very attentive and professional, I love their uniforms. It makes a refreshing change from the bog standard hotels there are so many of.

We had a drink in the hotel bar too which was lovely, great music and very reasonable prices.

Overall I would highly recommend the hotel. It was an extravagant treat for us being locals but given its great location and service, I wouldn’t hesitate to come again.

I booked two nights through a local travel agency, with breakfast included and a £40 voucher each night to spend on food and drinks. Our experience over those two days was nothing short of perfect. Check in was friendly and fast, with reception staff who did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was clean and modern, with a very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom facilities. The room was fully equipped with a fridge, safe, hairdryer, tea making facilities etc and the bathroom had high quality toiletries. I noticed we were a little short on tea and coffee. After I called reception, the facilities were restocked within minutes. The bathroom had a large spacious wet room and, oddly, a window so you could see the tv whilst showering. It was tinted so offered a little privacy if that's not your thing though! the first night we had dinner at their restaurant (Runyons) and had an excellent 3 course meal. our waiter, Peter, was fantastic and provided an exceptionally friendly service without being overbearing. He also served us drinks on the second night and was happy to stop by and have a chat before attending to the other guests. The food was tasty and beautifully presented, if a little pricey (depending on your budget), but we were able to use our vouchers to pay for the food and drinks which really helped us to have an enjoyable experience without breaking the bank. Breakfast was served every morning and provided plenty of choice with a large selection of drinks as well. In the evening we had a couple of drinks in the bar, which again was a little pricey but if you like a well-made cocktail is definitely worth it. The whole experience, from start to finish, was fantastic and everything was done efficiently and safely. The hotel is in a great location, right next to Chinatown and everything within walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again.

We arrived early and went to drop our bags off but our room was already ready for us which was great. We parked at the ncp chorlton Street which you get a 40% off voucher on departure from the hotel only a 5 min walk if that. The hotel has a great location near canal Street and chinatown just a 10 min walk to piccadilly Gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us and we loved the style of the rooms. The breakfast was also great. Would definately stay again. Thankyou Hotel Brooklyn

Stayed here saturday for a girls night out. we paid £115 for a double snug room.It had water, a fridge & in room use only toiletries.
The bed was comfy & we had enough room to get ready in. The bathroom was odd, a large window between the shower are & bedroom meant laying on the bed we had a full view of who ever was taking a shower (ok for couples i guess).
Nice power and rainfall shower though.
Great location, we took a coach & the station was round the back of the hotel so we walked 100m and we arrived at the hotel.
Breakfast is not included but can be delivered to your room at cost (see photos) £12.95 to have a cooked breakfast down in the bar.
Lovely bar, lots of choice, standard prices (£2 1/2 lager, £8 a cocktail)

All in all, nice hotel, expensive at £115pn though as ibis is 200m away & only £50pn.

I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel from Friday to Sunday in a Brooklyn suite .
Now this is one of the higher end premium rooms due to the size and bath in the room .
The room was amazing , I absolutely loved having the simply huge tin roll top bath in the actual room , I was in there for ages watching the tv which was able to swivel .
The whole hotel is beautiful , the lobby, bar , restaurant etc , really high standard and I really enjoyed my stay apart from one thing that was really very stressful .
For some very strange reason , one wall of the bathroom lights up when you switch the bathroom light on , it shows directly to the shower , but also the WHOLE bathroom , including the toilet .
I’m not entirely sure what purpose this serves , even if it’s to watch someone in the shower , it’s pointless as it just steams up , but that was not our concern .
We both felt so very uncomfortable that the whole glass wall illuminated the whole bathroom , including the toilet .
I’m not entirely sure just how comfortable you’d have to be to go to the toilet ‘properly’ in this situation , it’s simply terrible and a massive design flaw in the rooms .
The owners might think it’s quirky and fun , but neither of us wanted to do our business in front of a light up bloody wall .
Consequently , we both left with painful tummies .
Such a shame as I couldn’t fault the room other wise .
We didn’t get our Brooklyn smorgasboard(charcuterie board basically ) that was meant to come with the premium room and we didn’t get our cocktail vouchers that were meant to come with the room either , so that was disappointing.
Also should you decide of a morning that you fancy a bit of breakfast , you can’t have it ! You have to pre order basic breakfast items before 10 pm at night .
We were both confused why we had to decide we were going to be hungry or be awake the night before in such a lush hotel , after all , it’s not a b n b , this was a let down also .
And the full menu is not available on room service , they have a large selection of vegan dishes , but only one on the room service , but a fair amount of meat dishes .

I cannot fault the reception staff.
But someone who excelled was Mark the concierge.
Nothing was too much for this man , he helped me so much and was just a joy , such a happy, helpful caring smart man . He is simply an asset to the front of this hotel and I hope he gets the appreciation he deserves from his bosses . If I could have brought him home with me , I definitely would have .

So I’m conclusion , a higher end hotel , I completely recommend the room with a bath should your funds allow , but be prepared to do your business if you can in a Amsterdam- esque see through bathroom - we couldn’t do it !!

And make sure you get the things they advertise when you are paying the higher premium and give Mark a hug from me !

Dear Angela, Many thanks for all your kind words about the hotel, your stay, our team and in particular Mark. Like with most stays we are always looking to improve on what we do so please let me know when you stayed and under what booking name so we can understand the potential shortfall on the offering. If it is that you booked through a third party supplier then the offer of the smorgesbord is not something you purchased. If the booking was made direct through us then of course we provide it and it should happen seamlessly. But as I said please let me know directly by messaging me and we can resolve the issue. Its not like us to get things wrong for guests but when we do we look to resolve immediately. Per the window into the shower if it was causing a concern then you should have said and we would have moved you; its no issue really as not all of our bathrooms have clear glass. Many thanks for all you have mentioned and so pleased that overall you really enjoyed your stay with us. TAKE CARE Paul Bayliss MBE General Manager Hotel BKLYN MCR
