We had an amazing experience at this hotel, this was our first overnight stay as a family. We stayed in a cosy double room which had extra space for a cot for our 9 Month old and plenty of room for the pram too. The bed was really comfortable and the room was quiet our baby slept well without being disturbed. The room decor is smart, it all has an industrial feel to it and the bathrooms are really dark and quirky with a light up mirror great for doing your makeup in! We loved that we were able to take our Chihuahua as the hotel is dog friendly, he had his own bed in the room. There’s a self service coffee machine and fresh water on every floor, plus hot water and tea’s. All the staff members we encountered, from check- in to the moment we left were so accommodating and eager to help, the service throughout was exceptional. The hotel Manager Rob made sure we were well looked after and was there to help with anything we needed. In the evening we had drinks at the hotels Motley restaurant and bar which has a great atmosphere with good music and amazing tropical quirky decor. They have light up slogans around on the walls and all different seating and ornaments. The drinks menu is good with really different flavoured cocktail ingredients. We ordered the Churros as a snack as we hadn’t had dessert when we are out and they were amazing we wished we would have eaten dinner there. I highly recommend this hotel and we look forward to going back and taking our friends with us, thank you!

Dear U4569XRannah, Wow! We love your review!! Thanks for taking the time to leave us such beautiful words. We are so proud to hear that you chose us for your first overnight stay as family, it is a really honour. Our rooms and beds are super comfy and super Cosy! Never better said. All the fun you can find in our venue and surroundings won't bother you during your stay, that's for sure. Our unique style and decor it's the flag of our ship, we are different from the rest and we are proud about it. We are modern and fresh, but as you said we don't forget where we are, that is the reason for that industrial feel. We love the touch of the light of the mirror as well, practical and cool. Pets are a very important part of the family, it is not fair that they need to stay at home while the rest of the family is having fun! Qbic is committed to be a pet friendly hotel. The idea of the Galley that we have in each floor was based in the believe that there is nothing better than a proper tea or coffee in the morning. Say bye to the sachets! Thank you for your kind words about our team. Rob and the rest of the Qrew will always go beyond necessary to make you feel at home. The vibes and decor of Motley create an amazing atmosphere to enjoy an amazing evening for food or drinks. The churros are amazing and the cocktails even more. Fab hotels need fab guests like you! We are already looking forward to your next visit. Kind regards, Pedro

We stayed at the Yotel Manchester formally Qbic hotel, to visit the the Christmas markets. The hotel staff were all friendly, helpful and professional and got us checked into our room, without any trouble. We stayed in a smart room with no window, which is only small but definitely meets it’s standards and still gives enough space to stay in for a short while. It was spotless, comfortable and overall luxurious. During our stay we found good storage with a small hanging rack to put our clothes on, and a desk to keep any drinks or snacks on that we had. We had a large bed with a tele at the foot of it and was able to have a restful sleep, due to its comfort and space to move around. The bathroom was again spotless and it’s waterfall shower feature was powerful and easy to us. The lighting throughout the room was able to portray a calming atmosphere, as it had different spotlights that were able to be individually turned off. Throughout the hotel there were free drinking facilities, where you were able to make tea’s, coffee’s and other hot drinks to take back to your room. The hotel itself is in a great location as it is close to transport, the Christmas markets and there are numerous places to go around it such as lane 7 bowling, the odeon and local shopping centres. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying there again! It’s worth the money, easy to get too and meats high standards all the way through the hotel.

We spent a wonderful 4 nights at the Qbic Manchester Hotel. We had a lovely time at the hotel the blonde lady at reception was always so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were also served drinks and breakfast by the attentive bar and restaurant staff especially Michelle who took the time to have a chat to us.
Tip for travellers staying more than a night to put out your Bee on your bedroom door not to have your room serviced and re-use your towels and you get £5 off your drinks at the bar. Superb idea.
We loved the quirkiness and instagramable decor of the hotel. The rooms were perfect and comfortable and the telly at the end of the bed was great although reception was a bit patchy at times.
We would highly recommend the hotel for families with old kids probably not suitable for families with toddlers or babies to be honest.
Close to activities in Manchester centre as well as bars and restaurants of spinningfields.

We stayed here for 1 night and didn’t pay dear. With the cost in mind, we obviously didn’t have high expectations, however the main 2 problems we did have weren’t expected, even at that price. I have to say, the hotel looks great and the staff really are a credit to the company.

The ceilings in the bedrooms are bare concrete with exposed pipes. I get it’s supposed to be an industrial look, but I didn’t care for it. I appreciate this is personal preference.

The bed was comfy but the pillows were very high. My husband woke up with neck pain.

Our shower water ran out of the bathroom (main problem 1) and all over the bedroom floor. Luckily I had spotted it so curtailed my shower and it’s fair to say that the staff cleaned it up once alerted (we went down to reception half an hour after sending a text to the designated WhatsApp) The problem with this of course, apart from the obvious, is that it ran under the ‘pod’ so in time that’s going to really smell of it is not attended to.

There are drinks facilities in the galley. It’s disappointing to note there aren’t decaf options.

I did not have a great night’s sleep. This is because there was a constant dripping/tapping noise. I think it came from the pipes of the room above. It was very noisy and worsened when the toilet was flushed/water run. The only way I could avoid the sound and get some sleep was with ear plugs and a white noise app. I expected nosies from the road and people outside being it’s on the corner of Deansgate (note there was a lot of this noise, even at 3/4am on a Sunday - not a criticism of the hotel of course, but note worthy for light sleepers ) but noise within the room keeping you awake isn’t really acceptable. I feel certain if there was a proper ceiling with contained pipes, this wouldn’t be quite an issue.

The staff, as mentioned, were lovely and very friendly. The food at Motley was delicious. The server from there was so friendly and easy to chat to. He came to say hello the next morning as we had breakfast and we thought that was lovely. He had blonde hair and wore glasses should the manager wish to pass on our gratitude and pleasing comments.

The bill as we left showed that our breakfast was £25 for 2 people yet we had overheard some people being told it was £8.50. The staff were busy so we didn’t challenge it, plus the room wasn’t dear so we thought overall fair’s fair. However, on reflection, £25 for 2 continental breakfast is expensive, particularly for a budget hotel.

I’d maybe stay again if feedback was addressed, but for the time being would not be so quick to. Other than the ceilings, I did enjoy the decor and thought it had been done well.

The hotel is very modern and stylish, check-in was self service but simple enough. We booked what we thought was one of the bigger rooms and it was still pretty small, however it had some nice features in. Wasn't keen on the tv at the foot of the bed, maybe personal preference. There was no storage space, so anything more than 1-2 nights and you'll be struggling. The air conditioning was broken in our room so we were moved to another room that was an accessible room, and was much bigger. As others have said, the floor was very dusty to the point I had to brush my feet before getting into bed. The mattresses in both rooms were very hard, pillows were huge square shapes and not comfortable. Most of this can be improved on, but having stayed in many hotels worldwide, I can honestly say you will have a much more comfortable night in a premier inn for less money. One final point, the chap working at breakfast was totally disinterested, not welcoming and the food was not of a good standard. Definitely room for improvement, especially considering the very good choice of hotels in Manchester.

Dear AaronS204, Thank you so much for taking the time to reviewing us. We are delighted to hear that you found us modern and stylish and that you liked the features in the rooms. It is so disappointing to hear that you found the floor a little bit dusty, we can guarantee you that our Housekeeping team does an amazing job to provide the highest cleaning standards and that the floors get hoovered, steamed and moped always but dust is one of the little cons of being a brand new hotel. Regarding the pillows we are already working in it, that will change soon we promise! The mattress are very comfy but they are still just a little bit too new :) Let us apologize for your experience at breakfast, here at Qbic we pride in providing the best costumer experience and to find out that it wasn't the case it is so sad. Thank you again for your honest feedback, it is this kind of feedback the one that gives us the grounds to improve our standards. We will love to have you back with us and you will see that your improvements were taken on board. Kind regards, Pedro

The Qbic hotel is decorated beautifully with lots of lovely, quirky details and features. The hotel is very lively. The check in is very informal and at the front of a very noisy bar. This is not ideal as it was hard to hear what the staff were saying.

The room itself was decorated nicely and the bed was very comfortable but the pillows were far too high and made it difficult to get a restful night of sleep. The bedroom was very clean, however, the bathroom toilet seat had clearly not been cleaned and I had to clean this before use. This is unacceptable.

The hotel staff informed us of how to access the room via lifts. We were not advised about the stairways but when we found them they were incredibly dirty and covered in dust. The stairway did not lead us to the ground floor but instead to an alarmed fire exit which had lots of building materials at the door way.

Breakfast was bland. The hash browns lacked seasoning and, despite requesting fruit, this never arrived.

There is no parking at this hotel, however, you can use a discount code at the local NCP car park. The car park is an 8 minute walk from the hotel. We brought the car round to the meter parking outside the hotel before check out to avoid carrying luggage to the NCP car park.
There were huge queues for the lifts in the morning and huge queues in the bar / check out area which resulted in us being late back to the car and incurring a £50 parking notice. This could have been avoided by telling guests about stairs and having a greater front of house presence. The check out seems chaotic and whilst there are lots breakfast staff on hand there were very few members of staff to support with check out.

The hotel has potential if you are looking for somewhere vibrant and lively to stay in the city centre, however, it lacks fine detail in relation to service.

Fabulous overnight stay for two friends sharing a twin room on the 8th floor. We were greeted by a nice friendly smile and helpful staff member in the hotel lobby. The lobby is very nicely decorated and has a good buzz as it is conjoined with Motely bar/restaurant. Our room was very modern, nicely decorated and looked onto other offices but remained bright and in a city centre you can expect city views!

The bed was comfy (not the comfiest but as a mum of a toddler who doesn't sleep any bed is absolutely heaven when I actually get to sleep!!), the room temperature good (there is AC/heating as no option to open a window on the 8th floor) and although small the room was perfect for us both.

The shower was 10/10 (once I'd inadvertently switched it to the waterfall setting) - in fact I could have stayed in there for hours!

Tea and coffee is available outside the room in the communal lobby which I didn't mind but I'd have brought slipper socks if I'd known this.

Location wise its a 15/20 minute leisurely stroll with luggage to Manchester Victoria train station and the AO arena where we attended a gig and the hotel is close to some amazing bars in deansgate.

I added the £12.50 buffet breakfast on and was really impressed. A vast array of continental breakfast options with some delicious vegan options too. Staff were very attentive and friendly too. 10/10 for breakfast as I got to sit on my own without being pestered by two small children for once so absolute bliss for me!

Overall I'd recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future.

I have stayed here a number of times this month and have been very impressed with my experience.

The hotel is in a great location, near offices, bars and there are loads of restaurants.

I have stayed in a room with windows and the rooms without windows. I thought I would be put off by a windowless room but it didn’t impact my stay at all.

All rooms I have stayed in have been of a good size and a very similar layout, with a desk, an area to hang clothes and a Inbuilt shower area. There are more plug sockets and USB ports then you will know what to do with – a very nice touch.

The shower is brilliant – good water pressure and a rainfall showerhead. The complimentary shower gel and shampoo smell divine.

Another great touch is access to the gym.

Two things that let my experience down…

The first being the bed – I didn’t mind the mattress but the pillows are terribly uncomfortable.

The second relates to the room with windows – they haven’t thought about the coverage of the curtains and the location of the TV. In my room there was a big gaping hole on the left-hand side of the window where the curtain didn’t quite meet the wall and it was not accessible due to the location of the TV, Which meant light streamed in.

Almost excellent, but let down by the incredibly impractical and uncomfortable pillows on the bed, the bare concrete ceiling (I looked again at the hotel photos and it seems plenty of rooms have a plastered ceiling so I'm not as convinced by the below review that it's a design feature... It just wasn't in keeping with the rest of the room design either!) and our bedroom floor hadn't been vacuumed so there was a fair bit of dust and hair. We also had no water and this wasn't replenished at the galley (although the tea was lovely!)

The bar was beautiful with fantastic cocktails and the staff were wonderful. Bed itself was comfortable (pillows aside), great quality toiletries and although the bathroom was "budget style" it was perfectly adequate and clean. Shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water too.

Overall, not quite there for me, but I think it'll be a great place to stay if they can iron things out a little!

Fab hotel with a quirky atmosphere. Motley was great and our waiter was an asset to the bar. We would stay again but had a couple of issues. Room cleanliness wasn’t great. Everything thick with dust. room cleaning consisted of a replacement toilet roll. beds not made etc. Milk in the coffee station ran out in the morning and didn’t get replenished until the next morning. Maintenance work was carried out at 0800hrs on both mornings when we stayed, woken up by a drill. Not great when hungover. Sent an email to reception, but Ignored, mentioned it at check out and the hostess couldn’t care less. Apart from that fab stay and excellent location just need to work on the little things.

Hello beckyb9191, Urban playground is located in the Arndale Shopping Centre which is around 10min walk from the hotel (pretty much like everything in town, best location ever!).
