Just returned from a 2xnight stay at Forty Seven Manchester. It was an absolutely amazing experience, we went for my husband's 50th birthday.

Our room was just beautiful, we were upgraded from a cozy double to a suite.

The room was stunning, had a separate bedroom from the sitting area.
The bed was so so comfortable, bathrobes, slippers and gorgeous toiletries, lovely freestanding bath with separate shower, so very luxurious! There was a fully stocked mini bar, tea, coffee and a platter of cake with chocolates on arrival with fizz, very nice.

We had a meal in the Indian restaurant called Asha's utterly delicious and one of the best meals my husband said he has ever had.

Continental breakfast was delivered this morning to our room we didn't have to go down to the restaurant for it. It was very tasty.

The staff were lovely, all so very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Big shout out to Ryan the General Manager he made sure everything was ok for us with it being such a special occasion.

All in all I loved it, the whole stay I didn't want to leave today, if you are wanting a luxurious stay in a smaller hotel that goes above and beyond for you then this one is for you.

Thanks Forty Seven we will a million % be back!!!!

Wow, Wow, Wow!

We stayed in one of the Signature Suites here. The suite had a spacious lounge and kitchenette area with TV, ideal for longer stays or business ventures.
The luxury bathroom suite featured a freestanding bath tub and a walk in rain shower and was supplied with luxurious toiletries and fluffy bathrobes.

The showstopper bedroom was beautiful, with a 50’TV, full length featured velvet headboard, crisp bed linen and a giant chandelier. The rooms are also benefitted by secondary glazed windows, blacked out curtains and blinds to ensure you get the best night’s sleep.

The Hotel also has The Peterman Cocktail Bar and the Award Winning Asha’s Restaurant on-site, which we’ve tried and are highly recommended.

We’ve stayed in a lot of Hotels in Manchester and I’ve got to say this is the best night’s sleep we’ve ever had, not a sound to be heard from anywhere and the most comfiest bed, it was like sleeping on Cloud Nine ☁️☁️zzzz.

Ryan & his staff provided the most impeccable service and are a credit to the place 👏🏼👏🏼

We are already looking to plan another visit next time we are in Manchester, we loved it. It’s right in the City Centre close to Shopping, Restaurants & Bars.
Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just had the best hotel stay I’ve had in years. I was lucky enough to book a hotel room via the website for a brand new hotel in the centre of Manchester, The 47 and I must commend the management there for reviving my faith in hospitality, comfort and excellence in customer service. Everything was really good and most beyond my expectations. The hotel kept in constant contact with me throughout my stay and afterwards via WhatsApp and I received genuine one to one communication with reference to accommodation, booking, travel and even early access and suitcase storage.
The decor in the hotel and restaurant and bar was exceptional and finished to a very high specification. My room was sumptuous to say the least and the bathroom and shower were an absolute delight and pleasure. All the bathroom shampoos and conditioners were by L’Occitane absolutely fantastic.
Coffee machine, well stocked fridge and even an ironing board concealed behind an ornate mirror on the wall. The room was also filled with a sleep relaxation instrument that aids relaxation and a good night’s sleep.
The staff were all amazing and couldn’t do enough to help make my stay a rewarding experience. Even the manager came over and took the time to explain how they had renovated the building and wanted to ensure that their guests would not be disappointed on any level with the stay in their hotel. I wasn’t disappointed at all, I am amazed and appreciative that this level of hospitality is still available. Keep up the good work and I will definitely be back.
Absolutely excellent

Oh my days, what was not to like?

I originally booked a King room and was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite.

It was absolutely pristine. Quality products throughout and the place where I enjoyed my very first expresso too which was complimentary.

A huge bath tub with toiletries (L'Occitane) were provided and there were spectacular views too.

My favourite bit was the blinds and lights that were controlled by switches conveniently placed around the suite.

Had a delicious meal at the in-house restaurant Asha's and that was divine!

Overall opulence, second to none and if you are looking for excellent customer service, Forty-Seven has it all.

Velvet (Sister company) has a long way to go to match the high standards set here and I will definitely be recommending to family and friends!

We booked to stay over night for my birthday on a Friday night.

We had a very warm welcome from reception as soon as we walked in. Very friendly conversation around what we were in Manchester for etc.

We were in room 109 and it was stunning. There was stylish and modern bathroom to the right of the room, a few steps down and then there was the bed with the amenities to the side. There were robes and slippers available in the room, a mini bar fridge, safe, great hairdryer, hanging space for clothes/coats etc. The bed was very comfortable and the added touch of having an electric blind, made the sleep that bit better!

We would definitely stay again and catch the bar and/or restaurant!

The hotel is beautiful. The room is well decorated and definitely boutique. We had a standard room which was small with not a lot of spare floor space or room to unpack in general - consider this if you are not travelling light or you like a spacious room.
The bed & bedding was lovely & very comfortable.
The black out blind (I found the button for by chance) did it’s job to perfection. I only wish it blocked out the noise too. We had a street facing room and there were times during the night the passing night life & general street noises did disturb me as the room is not sound proof.
I wish I could say we had a perfect stay, the hotel lost a star for me because of 3 issues with service and the breakfast:
1) In the bar the new & lone bar man did not know how to make any of the signature cocktails. The service seemed slow considering that we were the only guests there when we initially went in.
2) a member of staff (maybe the manager) order drinks for some guests of his, he found a different bar man to make his guest the signature cocktails (we had been previously told we couldn’t have) sending the previous bar man away while he was in the middle of making my drink. This didn’t leave a great impression to put these guests before us & it left me without a drink for 30 mins until we raised the matter.
I’m sure this matter is personal to us but questionable customer service is always worth a mention in a review. Plus I really wanted one of them signature cocktails ha.
3) I would encourage you to look at the breakfast menu before paying/booking breakfast as you might be disappointed. The breakfast menu was not for us and was keeping in tie with the hotels restaurants theme. We ended up having toast & fruit. When the toast was first brought out it was warm bread, we had to ask for it to be toasted some more & my fruit never arrived, the waiter must have forgot I ordered it.

The hotel was comfortable and luxurious it’s a shame the breakfast was not to our liking and we experience some unsatisfactory service.

Dear HWreviewqueen Thank you for the review. It was great to meet you and I am so glad to read you enjoyed the hotel setting, bedding and blackout blinds - they do work a treat - I agree. Please let me echo the apologies I gave in person for the mis-understanding over the drinks order at The Peterman. Our signature cocktails are really special and this highlighted training need that has already been addressed - so hopefully next time you can enjoy one our our signature tipples! Our breakfast is a twist on the British classics with a touch of Asha's - maybe not to everyone's liking but a real treat for those willing to try. Thank you once again for sharing the feedback. Do feel free to contact me directly at the hotel should you ever be looking to return, it would be my pleasure to take good care of you. Best wishes, Ryan Thompson General Manager

We stayed here for 1 night as we had tickets to an event at the Bridgewater Hall , which is just around the corner, perfect location. We pre booked a car park close by and found the hotel staff very welcoming as we arrived. We had also pre booked a table for Asha’s for that evening, which the staff kindly checked and confirmed for us. This hotel is amazing space and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our room was beautifully decorated and loved the bit of bare Manchester brick to give the elegant decor a twist. Fantastic selection of toiletries for use whilst you are here, along with a great selection of complimentary teas and coffees.
We enjoyed a delicious meal and Drinks in Asha’s and even found time for a couple of signature cocktails in The Peterman Downstairs.
Please do visit this hotel, a wonderful gem of a hotel in a beautiful city.

Thank you for making us very welcome.

We received a very warm welcome and was shown to our room, the room was beautifully made up. We ordered food from Asha's to be brought up to the room and it arrived hot, in a timely manner and it was absolutely delicious. The shower and amenities add to the luxury and the bed was spacious and comfortable. Looking forward to staying again.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Forty-Seven and we absolutely loved it. The 1st time we stayed in a suite and it was very spacious, comfortable and such a beautiful room. This time we stayed in a comfy double and we loved this just as much. The beds are very comfy and beautifully presented on arrival. The room and bathroom are very clean with the best smelling shower gel! The staff are very attentive and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Also a special mention to Ryan who goes above and beyond. The location of Forty-Seven is great too and quite central to a lot of places we like to visit. We have stayed in many hotels in Manchester but after staying at Forty-Seven I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. ⭐️

This hotel is absolutely stunning, and perfect location for main bars nearby. The staff were lovely, helpful, welcoming and nothing too much trouble.
So pleased upgrading to Suite, as it was immense..
Ate in restaurant, and received 20% off and the food was amazing, along with the breakfast following morning, which set us up for the day..
Just ask for milk, sugars and coffee pods on arrival, as you have to ask for them to be delivered.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
