Travellers' Choice
Winner of ‘Leading Hotel of the Year 2019’, The Edwardian Manchester brings redefined five-star luxury to the city’s beautiful Grade II*-listed Free Trade Hall. Following a recent multi-million-pound redesign, the hotel has been transformed into a lifestyle destination that introduces a new standard of service. Its 263 bedrooms are distinguished by ample space and floor-to-ceiling windows, whilst many of the stunning suites feature sweeping city views, entertaining areas and outdoor space. Nestled underneath the iconic colonnade is The Spa & Gym, a state-of-the-art wellness retreat in the heart of the city. Natural, tactile oak walls and a menu of mind-resetting ESPA treatments instil pure calm, alongside an expansive aquamarine pool with cabanas, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Remaining a stage for celebration and entertainment, Peter Street Kitchen captures the essence of the building’s former glory and atmosphere, winning the prestigious “Best Luxury Restaurant” award in 2019 for its exquisite selection of contemporary Japanese and Mexican small plates. In The Library curated by Assouline, a space for relaxed socialising sets the scene for afternoon tea, signature cocktails and a Parisian-inspired menu. Located in Manchester’s city centre, the hotel provides unparalleled access to Spinningfields business district and the shopping and nightlife of Deansgate.

Constant problems Room unavailable even after 3 hours after check in time to then be told our room smells of chemicals and given a different one.key cards constantly not working.Toilet kept blocking and no toilet brush.was meant to be a relaxing romantic break of work only to have smoke alarms going of all the time so say due to showers being used as alarms very sensitive. This meant several times having to get dressed to go downstairs.Very expensive and internet not great along with next to nothing on the tv.would not recommend

Hotel's Favourite
I very much enjoy staying in this hotel, this is our second time here; there is something Zen and tranquil about the ambience as soon as you walk through the door. Staff are unobtrusive but polite and kind. Our room again had a quietness that I have only ever experienced in a very special Rocco Forte Hotel in Florence., again very clean. The beds are extremely comfortable, which is very important as I have a equally fab bed at home. Air conditioning excellent and ease of use. We had a great view of the city which I always enjoy when I come to Manchester. Breakfast was very good, but there was two of us, due to restrictions it was not ideal eating on the bed, I would not have ordered this had I known ( why not put a narrow table in with an extra chair?) One reviewer complained about the Japanese salmon muffin breakfast being half a muffin, all you have to do is order two, but this should be mentioned in the menu. If I order a muffin I expect two halves with salmon. I would like to put a special commendation in for Keeley in the spa who was absolutely lovely, helpful and professional. After hearing me mention to other spa guests that we fancied the open top sight seeing bus, she found out the times and let me know… also after admiring the amazing aromas in the spa, she found out the price of the Espa vaporiser…. so now upgrading from Neom many thanks! Thanks to Vittoria too who looked after our needs when we checked out and wanted to further explore. This is a great hotel and I will be returning, thank you. Caroline and Adam Stevenson

We have been extremely let down with this hotel, we stayed for two nights and during our stay the fire alarm went off several times within our room, a few of which waking us up during the evening. When we confronted the staff about this at checkout they seems very aware of the situation and almost acted as if it was normal. For the price of this accommodation this should not be happening, we are basically coming away from our weekend stay absolutely shattered because of the lack of Sleep caused by these alarms going off. We are also very disappointed given the extreme nuisance that this has caused that nothing was done to reimburse us for our terrible experience. We will not be back. Poor customer service and very bad taste left with regards to staff attitude

This was our 4th visit here and the reason we return is that we always know that the hotel snd the staff will be perfect. No problems at all. Check in was smooth and hassle free, room was clean and very well presented, glasses & mugs and tv remote were in wrapping to show that they had been cleaned (just a shame about the amount of single use plastic but i do understand that hygiene and safety of guests is very important). The spa was beautiful and we managed to get the whole pool to ourselves at one point, the different showers with their different settings are very nice, we liked the Carribean storm was great! We will be back again for the Christmas markets in November and for a gig in March and we just know that it will be as good as our previous visits 👍🏼👍🏼 Thank you to all of the staff for our lovely stay, see you again soon. James & Laura
