Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My daughter and I stayed three nights over Easter 2024. Hotel is very well located for old town. Housekeeping staff were friendly, other staff members seemed indifferent to us and didn't seek to build a rapport. Room compact and modern. Great to have a fully opening window. Main criticism is that the twin beds were very uncomfortable, caused by a combination of their small size, and very high firmness. They felt cheap and unsupportive and affected our sleep quality negatively. Room cleaned to a high standard though cleaning times (roughly 2pm-3pm) were inconvenient; we'd have preferred mid-morning so the room was clean for the day. Room noisy from late night revellers from the outside especially on our first night; extra soundproofing could have improved this. It's a pity the small bottle of mineral water left in the fridge was never replenished. It would have been a nice touch (and consistent with the €200 per night charge) if there had been two bottles, one per guest, and/or if they were replaced when the room was cleaned. Breakfast generally was very good and offered for extensive hours in a pleasant environment. It was a shame the only coffee available came from a self-service machine, which is never as good as a properly brewed French coffee to my mind. Tried room service for dessert on arrival but, having said they did, they called back to say they didn't have any of the ice cream on the menu. They then offered chocolate lava cake, which was outstanding! The white A4 pieces of paper pinned up with drawing pins opposite the elevator on the second floor showing which rooms were in which direction and where to find the stairs made the place appear shabby and of a much lower standard than it really is. The single lift was, at peak times, overwhelmed by demand necessitating use of the stairs which may help explain the signage. Overall our stay was good and we enjoyed it, mostly as a result of the location, breakfast and room cleanliness.

This hotel is so welcoming, the staff here are lovely, perfect location, we came for the Christmas markets in the old town and couldn’t have been much closer, within two minutes from leaving the hotel we were there which was great for popping back for a break. Rooms are nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. If I come back I would stay here without any hesitation.

This hotel is comfortable, and very clean. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is good value. We went to Colmar for the Christmas markets so the price of the hotel was high but it was very handy to everything.

Our 13 th Accor hotel on our 12 week European holiday and 9 more hotel to go, we started the trip as gold members and became Platinum at this hotel. Originally 1 welcome drink was offered but increased to 2, no upgrade even though the hotel was not full, room was fine except when your on the toilet and have the bathroom heater inches from your face, Internet was basically non existent and we were told it should be upgraded this year, for what they charge per room it should be a immediate priority. We have booked all of our Accor accomadation for this trip but no more

If you leave something in the room you do not know you will get your belongings back. I had something stolen by the cleaning staff but at the receptiondesk they told me that if I can not proof it, it did not happen. I was really disapointed by this approach. To me a hotel is a place were I can feel at home, being in good hands. I feel angry and defenseless!

Booked this hotel as a stop-over on the way home from a European holiday. I had heard a little about Colmar when visiting nearby Strasbourg a few years ago so wanted to have a look around. A few minutes walk gets you to the main part of this delightful town with a real medieval feel typical of the Alsace. Lovely streets and buildings which were busy with visitors and plenty of places to eat and drink. La Petite Venise was a delight too so was really pleased with this booking. Hotel was clean, room was comfortable and well appointed. No restaurant for evening meals but a novel option of In Room Restaurant (just like room service) - food was actually very good and arrived quickly. Excellent breakfast in the spacious breakfast room facing the street. Additional note if you are driving to this hotel: - Underground car park adjacent to the hotel - DON'T MISS THE TURN!! - turn immediate left next to hotel entrance. It looks like a pedestrianised street with a No Entry sign but just beneath this sign it says 'After 20m' which enables you to turn in to the car park. Press the entry button to open shutter, enter car park and turn sharp left - Mercure car park area is on the left and you need to press another button to gain access. Exit the following morning is via a code keyed in to the box. There is direct access via a corridor and lift to hotel. I missed the turn to the car park so went round 3 times before stopping and asking - it is a long route along 1-way streets to get back to the hotel if you miss this turn!!

We made a stop over in Colmar for two days to continue our summer holidays in Switzerland. The hotel is perfectly situated to visit the centre of Colmar. Since no diner is served we could enjoy the restaurants in town. We stayed in room 516, which was very comfortable. The hotel also has a private parking which is very convenient.

Excellent hotel with friendly staff and positive greeting on arrival.Just a short stroll to the centre but a bit difficult to park as hotel in bus lane but car park underground just round the corner.Breakfast was fine and well attended by the girls in the dining room.Room cleaners very polite and cheery and always ready with a greeting.Bar prices for a gin a bit over the top but your on holiday so pay it.We were on the top floor at the back so no noise at all but some rooms overlook busy road outside.Would visit again if ever return to Colmar
