Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely hotel very close to the town centre attractions. Reception staff were all friendly and helpful and recognised us as we passed through. The room we had was very peaceful despite being in the centre of town and cool with air conditioning. After a hot day out we really appreciated relaxing in the calm swimming pool and spa area

The location of the hotel is the best! It is next to a park, next to a parking garage, in the old town! You can walk everywhere! The room was pretty good, and we were upgraded! The staff was so helpful, kind and always smiling! I would stay there again!

July and a different July. Arriving from Bern we inspected in vivo a couple of hotels which were either fully booked or hard to find or closed. This one serendipitously in a little alley in the historic nexus was kind, convem=nient and comfortable. No parking facilities or breakfast but that is the context. Without a touch of elan or inspired material culture it was room wise excellent, the air-conditioning performed well. informed receptionist sweetly masked who made finest suggestions for the evening meal.

We were in search of where the treasures was found. We found the location was under the dining room of the Rapp hotel in the laundry. No plaque to show the way , just an address from the exhibit in New York . ( Oct. 2019) We ate dinner at the Rapp to celebrate our find. Excellent food and wine.

By most people's standards this is not a 4 star hotel (and even by the "tick list" it probably falls short - reception has a notice that it is open until 10:15). Having said that this is located very conveniently for the old town and we have enjoyed our stay here. It is very French - no cooked breakfasts! and plenty of quirky things - Our room was spacious (even had a double shower!) Restaurant not open on some of the days. Staff very friendly/helpful. All in all a good place to stay.

Set in a quiet narrow side street just on the edge of the older part of the town this is an excellent location to discover the town but also to get a good night's sleep. The room was comfortable and had good wheelchair access and disabled bathroom. There was a copious breakfast (continental) of high quality products. The restaurant serves lunch an dinner and can be included on request. The menu is very traditional and did not cater for those of us who need to watch the cholesterol! The hotel also has a small swimming pool and sauna which we greatly enjoyed. Pleasant staff.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood of Colmar, within easy waling distance to plenty of shops, sites and restaurants. Breakfasts were included and provided a selection of breads/pastries, coffee, juices, meats and a portable egg cooker if you wanted soft or hard boiled eggs. We enjoyed our stay. Dinner in the hotel consisted of a first course of cold herb gazpacho (more water than anything else), followed by fish (maybe hake?) with a potato pancake and ratatouille and yogurt sauce. Dessert was a Pavlova with warm apricots and whipped cream. I had a glass of pinot gris and hubby got a glass of Moscat (not moscatto). Food and service were both very good!

We spent two nights in the Le Rapp Hotel in Colmar. The hotel has a good location and you can explore the center of Colmar through walking very well. The staff is outstandingly friendly, especially at the reception and in the restaurant. One can tell that the rooms are not the newest but the spa has been renovated. Overall a good hotel at a very affordable price.

We were given a family room (2 br suite) as it was what they had left. That gave us a huge space to spread out our luggage. It's a fairly short walk to the train station (at least if you put the address in correctly in your GPS). Very very easy walk into the heart of Colmar for the Xmas markets which were exceptionally good. Staff was very helpful and kind. We got a nice greeting from the family dog as well. Our room was clean as were the common spaces. Not as romantic as the place we were in in Strasbourg but prob 60% the price and very convenient for walking the old city.
