Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the Strasbourg Christmas markets and stayed at this Ibis, one of several in Strasbourg. We were greeted by Violaine, the most helpful, funniest, most kind person we have ever encountered at a hotel! She checked us in lickety-split and explained how easy it was to access the markets. It's a ten-minute walk to Petite France or a five-minute tram ride that you can catch across the street. It could not be easier! The rooms are small but have everything you need - closets, extra pillows, a big enough bathroom, windows that open, a desk, and a very comfy bed with plenty of nearby sockets for charging phones and computers. Hopefully, we'll visit Strasbourg again this summer - it's a lovely small city, and hopefully, we will encounter Violaine again, a true Ibis asset.

For a €110/night! there was no breakfast. Got wrong room no for key, had to go down to change. Am in my room and new guest tries to enter. They gave him the wrong no. You ask staff what is best way to reach hotel by public transportation, they tell you best to walk. You discover it’s 3 bus stops from train station. Not the cleanest hotel. They fold used towel so you don’t know which is the clean one. Sink fills with water and all kinds of dirty remains come out. Poor amenities.

Stqyed at this hotel several times. The hotel rooms is a little run down and you can see that it is old. But everything works and front desk is friendly. The tram and bus stop just outside. Walk to city center does not take long, but a little hard to navigate.

Good location- about 100 meters from tram stop(you can be in city center within 10 minutes), about 15 minutes walk to train station. Friendly staff at the reception and nice room with comfortable bed(although, the bathroom was rather small). And another good thing: they had a water station in the lobby so you could refill your water bottle. One hiccup, though: I asked for a late check-out and my request was granted. I was doing sightseeing in the morning, it was hot and- just to cool off a little before going to the train station- I came back to the hotel a bit more than hour before I supposed to check out. However, my late check-out time didn't went well with their housekeeping staff as they were knocking and- at some point- entered the room without permission. So, I decided not to stay until the time I was allowed to stay and went to the train station earlier than I was planning to

The smallest room and bathroom I have ever stayed in. Room was tiny, just room to walk around double bed. Bathroom was so small a tall person could not sit on the toilet without knocking knees on opposite wall. Breakfast was ok, and staff friendly and helpful, but would never stay there again.

Well located close to pretty, Petite France and easy walking distance to Strasbourg’s magnificent Cathedral of Notre-Dame. The hotel is well priced, has off-street parking close by and has a nice, little restaurant with super friendly staff but limited menu. Sadly, however, there are a number of irritations in the room: bed-side lights are too bright and shine straight in your eyes, the bathroom door is right opposite the bed and putting on the light will disturb anyone sleeping, There is only one electricity socket in the room and no face towels are provided. Other than that the bed is comfortable and the shower is good. There is no kettle in the room.
