How can I begin to describe the ultra charming guesthouse that is the Ecolodge des Chartrons. From the moment we entered the beautiful stone 18th century building, (look up to make sure you do not miss the sign), we felt transported into a lovely aura of tranquility. At last we found our quintessential 'home away from home', with ambience galore... More

We booked two rooms at this lovely B&B. The location was very convenient for walking to the sights or taking public transportation. The rooms were beautifully decorated and so charming. Breakfast included pastries, jams, juices, yogurt, fruit, and more. All of the food was homemade or bought fresh from local bakeries and stores. Veronique, the owner, was very knowledgable and... We stayed only one night at Ecolodge (I wish it could have been longer!) and I can't reccomend this guest house enough! The hostess, Veronique was very welcoming upon arrival and was very informative of the local area. The guest house was the epitome of French interior and style and our room was wonderful, clean and confortable. The location of... More

We stayed here overnight on our drive down from London to Ibiza. What a wonderful experience, gorgeous, tastefully decorated and with tons of character. All authentic French vintage and antique. The owner was wonderful, very helpful and she makes the most delicious breakfasts. Plus being very central, what more could we have asked for?! I can't recommend this accommodation highly... More

Loved it here at the tastefully designed Ecolodge. Our experience was made even better by the helpful, informed and welcoming hostess, Veronique. Rooms were homely - breakfast was by far one of the best we have had in France - and after three nights, we felt truly at home and didn't really want to move on to our next stop.... More

We stayed three nights at Ecolodge whilst having a city break to Bordeaux. Veronique gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and pointed out places of interest and restaurants and bars on the map. Veronique's english is excellent which really helped us! We stayed in the sable room and it was a great size with large windows opening out on... More

I couldn't say enough positive things about Ecolodge de Chartrons. Veronique was our hostess and went above and beyond to provide us with restaurant recommendations and reservations as well as driving directions and metro stops. She provided a perfect breakfast everyday and always made sure to ask in advance when we would like to dine. She even let us use... More

The hostess is very helpfull and advised us to a great restaurant in the surroundings, "Le bistrot des anges" (see my review). The ecolodge itself is the bundling of two smaller typical Bordeaux houses linked by a glassv ceiling courtyard where one can get his breakfast. the living rooms are quite nicely decorated a was our room "Ardoise". Good bed,... More

We had only one night at this place but enjoyed it thoroughly. The room was very spacious and comfortable and breakfast in the atrium was delicious. The building is centuries old but has been set up well with modern comforts while maintaining the charm of the original building. We had a room looking out onto Rue Raze and had no... More
