Excellent service from our hostess! Allowed us to bring our luggage earlier than check in. Moved our luggage to our room and gave us some great tips on where to go for good and wine that was not over priced! She also provided us some extra tram tickets other guest had left so my wife and I could use! The place was very clean and beautiful! Our room was very nice, the breakfast and coffee was exceptional! The coffee the best we have had on our two week vacation in Norther Spain and France!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Isabelle Gevry lovely La Halte Montaigne. Close to the main train station, it was a perfect place for us to relax after turning in our leased car on a Friday and taking the TGV to Paris on Saturday afternoon. Isabelle has created a clean and well-designed maison d'hôtes. The garden is perfect for a picnic of foods and wine from the local shops, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast worth getting up for. Plus Isabelle herself is a great source of information and assistance with regard to the local resources and sites. Highly recommended!

This is the second time I have stayed at this Bed and Breakfast and even though it is under new management it didn't disappoint. This time visited with family and so we had an extra bed in the room for our daughter. The room was still comfy and very clean. The breakfast was great and filled us up. It is just a shame that is was raining and so we couldn't make use of the lovely hidden away garden. It is well located being near the train station. There is a tram stop nearby, but you can also walk in to the centre in about 30 minutes. I have recommended La Halte Montalgne to a number of people and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

I loved my stay here. Isabelle is the finest host- warm, welcoming, full of information, generous. The space is immaculate, quiet, very pretty, with a sweet private courtyard-garden and a small stocked kitchen just for the guests. My room was huge, clean, airy, formidable. The station is an easy walk away; the tram an easy ride to the Old Town. I am so happy I stayed at La Halte Montaigne in gorgeous Bordeaux. I would love to return with my family and stay here again!

We just got back from a total of 3 nights stay. We really enjoyed our stay. Very homey , relaxing and close to the train station. The area around the train station is very busy and noisy but Le Halte Montaigne is close enough but is an oasis in this area. Isabelle is wonderful. Very welcoming and helpful. She gave us good advice on places to visit and where to buy good but inexpensive wines. Thanks so much and hope to visit again someday!
