Everything about our visit to the Villa Le Goeland was wonderful. The house is beautiful, stunning, full of character, both inside and out. The experience of staying there, coupled with dramatic views from our bedroom windows will remain with us forever. To our warm and friendly hosts, Paul and Elisabeth "merci beau coup, au revoir!" we hope to visit you...

The Villa le Goeland is a fabulous retreat on the sea in Biarritz. Set atop a hill in the old port, the Villa has just four rooms, and spectacular views of the sea. We enjoyed lovely sea breezes, breathtaking scenery, and quiet. Charming shops and Les Halles Market are conveniently steps away, yet it feels like a world away when...

This amazing old house has been handed down the generations and is run by a lovely family. The house is incredible and the rooms are large, airy and have the most wonderful views over the bay plus a balcony. The breakfast outside is delicious with homemade jams, fruits and croissants. Paul made us feel very welcome and is super friendly....

We were impressed when we entered Villa le Goeland by the breathtaking views and the historic building. This Villa hotel is a nice choice for a more authentic experience in busy Biarritz. Paul was very helpful and informative and the house has been in his family for generations. The room with a terrace has the best view in Biarritz but...

This place was a real privilege to stay in. We spent 3 nights here. The villa is located on a plateau/promontory overlooking the coast and the petite plage (small beach). On a saturday morning, we watched the local kiddies learn to swim in the protected waters of the beach. The villa itself is imposing and huge. The house is 80-90...

My wife and I stayed at the Villa last weekend and we both absolutely loved it. The location is perfect. The building is beautiful. Our host Paul was a great guy. Our favorite memory of this place is the views. We have never stayed in a hotel with better views. If you go to Biarritz - we highly recommend this...

We arrived here on Bastille Day in the late afternoon after a long drive and were welcomed into this beautiful home by Paul, the most excellent host. He invited us to join the fireworks on the terrace with his friends - stunning. What a find! Gorgeous home situated overlooking the amazing beaches and only a minute's walk to delicious restaurants...

...if you stay at Villa le Goeland. lt's as if you are inhabiting a period French film with very "now" hosts who make you feel as though you have been there before. Surfing is part of the new beach culture. Bring your swimming gear and come after the first week of September. Activities are endless and so are leisurely strolls...

From the moment Paul opened the door to his home we were treated to the most amazing experience. The location is second to none, within easy walking distance of wonderful beaches and restaurants, and our room, Montebello, had fabulous views and an incredibly restful feel to it. The only place to stay in Biarritz, and we shall certainly be heading...
