This is a pleasant enough hotel with nice rooms and bathrooms with good beds. However without air condition on hot August nights the requirement to have windows open is a problem with people walking past and starting their cars whilst loudly recounting the enjoyable evenings entertainment at 12.00 1.00 2.30 makes it a little difficult to get a full nights...

This is a nice hotel in a lovely little sea side town. The room was clean and spacious and the hotel was an easy walk to restaurants and the beach. The staff were friendly and happy to help when required. My only complaint would be the poor wifi, but overall a pleasant stay, particularly for the price.

We - husband, wife and 8, 7 and 5 years old children - spent one night in Grand Hotel de La Poste before moving to our holiday house. We had a family suite which consisted of two interconnecting ensuite bedrooms. The bedroom were spacious and the master en-suite was very roomy with a stand alone bath and shower. The hotel...

Great location and very friendly. Not sure if it is family run but it has that personal touch and the rooms are clean albeit small. I had a room which was also recently refurbished. Decent breakfast. Pool table downstairs but you are asked not to play at night in order not to make too much noise! We played chess instead....

Firstly traffic and parking in St Jean de Luz can be a nightmare. This reasonably priced hotel is an amazing historic. The main staircase is indeed impressive. Accommodation is adequate with compact bathroom facilities. Staff are reasonably friendly and English speaking. Well located near the main pedestrian thoroughfare and the promenade. Best avoid the breakfast. Some excellent nearby cafes.

The hotel is situated a short walk from the pedestrianised main shopping street and the beach area. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel is a traditional Basque style building with many original internal features dating from the 1770's.it was built originally as a stop over hotel for horsemen going to battle. The staff are very helpful and friendly...

We stayed 2 nights during the week in August. Previous comments on car parking may be true in November, but parking in SJdL in peak season is a challenge, whatever hotel you stay in. Our superior room on the first floor was a good size, as was the bed and en suite. The room however was very warm, the window...

Stayed here in June 2015 in the 'mini-douche' room. Staff was very friendly, English speaking. Room was clean, tidy and cozy, nice carpet on the floor. Towels & other bath stuff changed every day. Internet connection is great. Breakfast was tasty with fresh orange juice every morning + free bottles of water are available in the room. Carrefour market store...

We took the Superior Room, it was lovely. Beds were very comfortable. The en-suite is huge, not only do you have a bath with shower, also added is a v.large walk in shower. There is a toilet, behind a door, and a spacious area to do everything else in. V. clean room and en-suite. Overall we considered this hotel well...

This hotel is situated in a central position, just a step from Spain. (San Sebastian and Bilbao - 30 minutes by car) In every respect comfortable and particularly the bathroom. A slight drawback is that the parking lot nearby is paying
