A rest stop while walking the Camino so looking for an inexpensive stay. This place fit the bill - rooms smallish but adequate - clean and comfortable bed. Very well located close to the main sights and to services for replenishing the backpacks. Did not have breakfast as there are many Cafes close by. No air-conditioning in the rooms (may...

My husband and I stayed at the Dyke Hotel in Le Puy for two nights in June. It was a very good value. We had parking, a nice room with a modern, ample bathroom, great location in terms of attractions and restaurants, nice breakfast, and a warm, helpful staff. It is on a busy street, but by the time we...

A real find. Friendly, relaxed, clean and comfortable. The owners are eager to accommodate. Let us keep our bicycle in the garage. Made us feel at home. Shared articles describing pilgrim experiences at their hotel and in Le Puy.

We called in here for 4 nights before we started our Camino. Great value hotel. Good central location. Short walk from station if your coming on train. 5 minutes approx. Rooms are bright and importantly very clean. Right next to main road but windows have great double glazing so you shut out road noise completely. The owners are really friendly...

We were pleased to find the Dyke Hotel just off the main street in Le Puy-en-Velay. The room was bright and had everything we needed. The woman at reception was friendly and helpful—even showed us how to hold a place to park. One drawback—the shower cubicle in our room was quite small. Other rooms may be different.

Dyke Hotel is in a good spot: easy to find as you enter the city from the North East, yet 5 minutes walking distance to the old town. We arrived grubby and sweaty with a heavliy laden tandem and trailer and were offered space in the garage and a pleasant en suite room on the second floor. The couple in...

Just an overnight stay and a pleasant experience after a long day of driving. It was a Sunday so many places were closed and the town quiet. We were able to park right by the hotel so getting bags up to the third floor was not too traumatic. The hotel is on a busy intersection and there was some noise...

Travelling on my own to le Puy in November to taste the great cuisine there, I came upon this great little hotel. The owners were very helpful in providing me with directions and my room was spotless, warm and comfortable. It is a two star hotel, but I found it to be superior to some three star hotels in the...

We stayed here for one night on our way south. Found this hotel by chance and after chaecking availability, they showed us the room before we decided to take it. Lovely front dest staff very friendly and helpful. We were able to park our car on the side street just close to the side door (make sure you wake up...

We started our Robert Louis Stevenson Way from Puy-en-Velay, after a train journey from Lyon. Reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was up to standard, nothing special, but clean. Breakfast was simple, but complete. My only concern was with the noisy road junction just under our window. All in all a good place to stay.
