I am partial to l'hotel particuliers when I am staying outside of Paris because I find that they have so much history and are just so beautiful. L'Ascott does not disappoint. It's gorgeons on the outside and so charming and cozy on the inside. We got a standard room, and it was just perfect. We had everything we needed with...

Having booked a ' superior' room with twin beds we were very disappointed with the size of the room. Situated at the act of the house I found it hard to recognise the word superior. The outside of the hotel was very attractive but the room, compared to others we stayed in for the same price did not measure up....

We stayed here for one night and were totally charmed by it. It’s a beautiful old house with a winding central staircase and a lovely proprietor who doesn’t speak much English. Exactly what we were looking for! The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful and our room was up in the eaves overlooking the garden. Fairly basic but clean and...

We stayed at this delightful hotel for four nights enjoying our stay immensely. In terms of size it's not large and operates on a room and optional breakfast only. The room we had overlooked the rear garden and although a little small was perfectly functional, comfortable and clean. The garden is also open to residents and in fairness the room...

We spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel. When we arrived we were greeted immediately and were given keys to our room without any formal check-in procedure, which we found extremely refreshing after a 4 hour drive from Paris where we live. Our room overlooked the small garden and was extremely clean. My only criticism would be that there is...

We stayed for 3 nights in July. We had a standard room on the first floor (2nd floor US) which was just fine - small desk with chair where I sat and read with the French balcony window open to the quiet street, high ceilings so felt more spacious, very comfortable bed, good bathroom with excellent shower/tub and plenty of...

I found this little hotel very last minute on booking.com and there was only one room left for our dates. I quickly read tripadvisor reviews, and hit book! I'm so glad I did. You lovely tripadvisor contributors were right. This hotel is perfect. It is tucked away in a quiet and leafy district of Saint Malo... Saint Servan is beautiful....

Pulling up to the hotel you realise immediately you're coming to stay in a beautiful boutique hotel. We spent 3 nights here and the service was truly amazing. The staff couldn't do enough and were full of helpful suggestions on where to go to eat or what to visit. The hotel is a beautiful old building that has been nicely...

We picked Ascott as we wanted to avoid large hotels and live in something more comfy. Ascott ticked all these boxes, it is in a quiet street not far from the city (and also has a convenient bus stop nearby) and sports only ten rooms. The wife of the owner is very engaged and always makes sure that the guests...

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights for our first wedding anniversary holiday. The location is great, with plenty of parking and provided an excellent base to explore the region. The hotel is also within walking distance of St Malo which we visited on our first day and visited for dinner on another evening. Our hosts were very welcoming...
