Unfortunately I didn't write this review at the time - yet ever had intentions to do so due the quiet, exquisite and great value encountered upon staying here. Our visit was brief - a getaway long weekend from 'the daily grind'. I managed to begin our trip superbly - working late, sleeping poorly and despite my best efforts to run... More

Handsome house with spacious rooms of a very Breton style.Bathroom was a bit dated and lacked a shower - but otherwise comfortable and convenient to a good range of lovely local restaurants all within a pleasant evening stroll and of course very easy for the ferry.

We basically stumbled on this hotel after arriving in St. Malo late in the afternoon, without having pre-booked (or done any research) on accommodations in that town. We walked in and inquired if rooms were available for the evening. Asked by the innkeeper how many nights we wanted to stay, we replied that we would stay one or two nights,... More

We stayed for 2 nights in September. Very welcoming, all rooms furnished in very French style classical furniture. Parking very secure. Good choice of typical French breakfast. Recommended local restaurants which were very close by. Garden very peaceful. Within walking distance of the walled city. Owners very helpful and accommodating.

The public rooms are charming and nicely furnished. The garden (sorry.... park) is a haven of peace and provides very secure parking. You can enjoy the sun loungers out here or a beer after a long days driving. The hotel does not have a restaurant but is only five minutes walk to the sea and half a dozen restaurants. The... More

I have never visited a hotel like this! Even if we had a small room, it was so personal and unique in the decor. The comfort is like a normal hotel, but you will get so much more value for money, because of the very special surroundings and the history in the small castle. Another very important thing is the... We enjoyed our week's stay in this beautiful French 18th century ship-owner's mansion in the St Servan part of town. The actual buiilding is well preserved in its typical features and especially the first floor rooms have beautiful views onto the private park, which is lovely and provides a sanctuary from the street. The only reason we haven't classified it... More

Small and nice. Far from the center. The owner tries very much to be helpful. In our room, ground floor, the bathroom was uncomfortable in the basement floor where we had to descend 15 steps Excellent breakfast . Good parking.
