We too were in Room 4. The huge cobwebs were in place and the room had not been well cleaned. The bathroom was the worst of it - a dirty shower with mould on the ceiling and the walls. Nothing worked well and when we went to ask for assistance at Reception, there was no-one there. We then asked at...

We were travelling by motorcycles and had booked this place as one of the few places that is close to the centre which has secure parking, and that isn't part of a chain of hotels. On arrival, being very tired after a long journey, I didn't feel the love for the place. The reception wasn't well signposted and it wasn't...

The location of Du Sauvage is perfect for a visit of Dijon. The building is very old but well maintained and pretty. The staff is friendly and helpful. Expect rooms with character rather than high end modern style interior. Still, internet works fine. If you carry heavy luggage try to get a room on the first floor. You won't want...

Really good location. Really good value €47 per night. Much better than staying at a youth hostel. Older building so obviously not brand new with older bathroom fittings. Only negative point is that the wifi (although free) does not work very well and drops out all the time, sometimes overnight. It was very frustrating. The older gentleman is great with...

On a cold day we popped in for lunch. Intial impressions were troubling, down some narrow stairs and nobody there. But we were early, on a day there was a big celebration in Dijon and there was a warm fire. The menu was challenging because there were a number of things we wanted to eat. Caroles veal chop was roasted...

We have stayed here twice now, always on our way to southern France for a stop-over. The Hotel du Sauvage is a small, friendly and clean hotel. Do not expect five-star luxury, of course, and the rooms are a little small, but quiet, clean, and the location is excellent to explore Dijon. Another big advantage is cheap parking offered in...

This is a very well located hotel...you can walk to anything in Dijon. It is also nicely set back from the road in a courtyard, so it is quiet. The building is 14th century I believe, so it has character. The rooms are small, which is fine, but the mattress was VERY soft and should have been replaced years ago....

Excellent location on Rue Monge. Pleasant room overlooking courtyard (my wife providing commentary on diners and meals). Walked up and got a room on Friday eve. in summer. Parked in garage at back (bit tight for Espace). Breakfast quite basic (we took in our own cheese) but altogether a very happy experience.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days. The room was clean, a bit small, (but aren't they all in France). Room was serviced each day and staff were attentive and friendly. There is a good restaurant just about 20 metres in front of the hotel. The meals there were very good. The location is pretty good, with not far...
