It is a restaurant the we can highly recommend, if we return to France well will stay in the town. Adjoining the restaurant is a nice hotel. The food was excellent very well presented and very tasty. Nice sauces to complement the food. Could not fault the place.

On our way back home from a short break in the south of France, my wife and I spent the night at the Tour d'Auxois in Saulieu, an impressive old building in the very heart of town facing Loiseau's famous hotel/restaurant La Côte d'Or. We were "welcomed" by the lady at the reception desk in a rather patronizing way -...

A fab little place in a rather sleepy little town, French country chic, comfy, great little secluded pool and a perfect spot to explore the region and countryside of the national park and lakes. Breakfasts were simple and with delicious local bread. Don't get the problem with having a push top flask to deliver nice morning coffee raised by another...

Spent three nights here in mid august and used the restaurant one night and had a pleasant dinner. Gated parking limited to about 6 cars but parking in the square to the side easy. Market day on Saturday reduces the spaces! Lovely pool area and garden. We had a "Charme" room at extra cost which looked over the courtyard and...

This is really the best place to eat in Saulieu. Price - quality is excellent. Nice service, great main courses and even more superb deserts. Also with kids you can visit this restaurant as they have a very good kids menu and the kids can play in the garden next to the terrace.

We booked this hotel to rest a day for our drive back to The Netherlands and to buy some good burgundy wine. We arrived after 11 pm after driving all day from Spain to find out that our booking.com reservation for a family suite was not intended for 4 but 2 persons even though we booked for a family of...

We stayed here for business and just for one night. First impressions were beautiful. Nice setting, beautiful lobby, friendly reception. Dinner was very nice, even though they had to cater for a large group of vintage car fanatics. The rooms however, though very clean, seem a little tired and small. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast : coffee from a...

Stayed here for one night on my way to Provence. Found a space in their car park which has a lift up to reception. The kind receptionist helped me with the luggage as my shoulder did not allow me to lift anything heavy. I was allocated a perfect room, terrific shower, working TV and comfortable mattress. Had booked a table...

My Husband and I have just returned from a long weekend with friends staying at this beautiful hotel in Saulieu. The hotel is extremely charming, beautifully maintained and the staff are very welcoming. We stayed in room 28 which is a suite and we felt well worth the money. There were 2 bath/shower rooms, 2 flatscreen TVs (one in the...

We stayed for three nights in a "charme" room overlooking the garden. We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist speaking both French and English. The room was of a decent size with a large bathroom. We were only missing a shower curtain to not change the bathroom into a pool. We were slightly disappointed to see that the swimming...
