We stayed one night in Vezelay on June 16 and could not have found better location: Relais du Morvan is located at the foot of the hill, with car parks nearby. While one should not expect to be "wowed" by the rooms, they are nonetheless clean and functional, and tend to be cheaper than other alternatives at the same location....

What a cosy hotel! Dominique, Agnes and their staff are very welcoming and cheerful people. The bar is a good place to make fun and have some drinks. The restaurant serves up good and tasteful food and the rooms are sober but clean and have wifi-connection. You should go here in the first place for the warm welcoming people who...

The two language speaking waiter from close to Birmingham was super helpful and funny. The tree course menu was outstanding with high class tasty and original food. The desert taster with five different deserts was tremendous. Great atmosphere

What a dump! I really don't like to say it like that, but that place had nothing going for it. The whole place was run down and old and the shower was disgusting and broken. No toilet paper and just plain grimy. One night and we were gone.

If you are reading this then don't go any further. I often criticise people for picking faults to easily and try not to do so myself but this is an exception. Where to start, they couldn't find our booking and were quite rude almost to the extend of saying have you made one! We then went to our room through...

All was fantastic. The bilingual waiters and owners were not only charming but helpful and passionate. The cuisine was fresh and authentic to the region and a superb value. We ate there three times in two nights and are considering a trip back to Vézelay just for a fourth. Keep up the great work et à la prochaine!

This is a small hotel in a pretty setting in Vezelay. It stands next to the much bigger and more expensive Lion d'Or hotel. There is parking but it appears to be payhing during the day which is not so good but some on street parking. On entering mid to late afternoon I was surprised to find it was bustling...

You would be better off sleeping in the car than sleeping here.We arrived after a fairly long drive, and were shown to a 65 Euro room overlooking what can only be described as a builders yard at the back. The family had installed a swimming pool for themselves, the noise was horrendous, and the mess even worse, cement bags, wood offcuts...
