Everything was perfect! The owner was super friendly, the room had an amazing view and was uniquely decorated, and the breakfast was organic and tasty. Of our 15 nights in Burgundy/Alsace, this gem is tied for first place. We would stay here again in a minute.

Honestly - we originally booked a night in Vezelay because I read in one of the guidebooks that there was a restaurant there where you could get a vegetarian meal. I knew that eating vegetarian was going to be difficult, so I begged for a night in this town. Little did I know that I was booking such a delightful...

You would never suspect from the outside that there is a beautifully furnished room on the top floor of this house on one of Vezelay's two main streets. The owners, sculptor Bernard Van den Bossche and his vivacious wife Sylvie, look like 60s hippies, but they have turned this property in the medieval town of Vezelay into an elegant B&B....

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights after 4 nights on a canal boat on the canal du Nivernais. My first impression was one of total delight after the confined space of the boat.
