Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For a business trip to Tours, it’s a bit far from town. But it’s worth it. 30 min by car from the city. The restaurant at the hotel is fantastic. There are shops within walking distance and you’re in wine country. Lots of free parking. Modern facilities

We love this hotel and have stayed many times. The rooms are comfortable and air conditioned. The Food in the restaurant is varied, imaginative and quite delicious. Philippe and his wife are delightful hosts. An ideal stop if travelling from channel ports to further south.

I booked this hotel through Bring Fido as we have two dogs. I booked it for one night, then I thought would be a good place to spend 2 nights, what a mistake that was! So he has charged me for all three nights. I have spent the last two months trying to get my money back. He refuses and said I did not cancel the first room. I feel cheated by this man. The room was nice but food poor.

Well, nothing much to say : you booked a room non cancellable and non refundable, you never showed up and, most of all, NEVER CANCELLED the room. It seems to me very fair to pay for the room... I would like to say that on the one hand your comment is SLANDEROUS and on the other hand I am not sure that you have placed the thief on the right side of the equation...

Wonderful little secret…I was recommended this gem of a hotel on my way to Portugal. So good I am staying again on my way back and it’s in my little black book. Why? Well the accommodation is more than adequate, but it won’t bowl you over with grandeur or opulence…and it’s not trying to either. It’s comfortable, clean and understated and to be fair after the long drives to and from Portugal I want simple, efficient comfort. BUT this hotel hides a little gem inside. A wonderful French restaurant. Superbly priced, amazing food at a snip the price of most places purporting to offer real French cuisine. Have the wine flight, eat the fois gras (homemade and the best I have ever had) enjoy a seasonal dish and simply unwind in an un-pretentious, little gem just off the main drag to southern France. Special thanks to the wonderful Pillippe who with his wife run the place. As a slightly poor language student I never feel out of place and help is always at hand. Oh and it’s a pet friendly hotel for those that have furry friends. I love this place and it’s a must visit. You could even visit a chateau or two it’s so well located. Well done team, keep it up and keep your charm.

A second visit to this hotel which is conveniently placed to visit Azay—le-Rideau or as an overnight stop if travelling further south. On this visit we are staying for 2 nights on a special package which includes a spacious terrace room, 4 course dinner both night, breakfast both mornings, late checkout, chocolates and a bottle of sparkling wine and a visit to the very pretty château. Our meal last night was delightful and breakfast this morning gave plenty of choice. The hotel is situated close to a busy roundabout but our room was quiet and peaceful overnight. Aircon a great plus! Would recommend.

Really convenient location which was easy to find, and while close to a biggish roundabout it was incredibly quiet. The room was perfect, really comfortable bed, quiet room, didnt hear a peep all night and the shower was great. Very clean and simply appointed. Dinner was super, food was delicious. High points for us were the friendliness of everyone especially Phillipe.. He was super friendly, but not over the top. Love it when he and his team ask whether we want to communicate in French or English. Wine recommendations were excellent, particularly to get good Loire wines from someone who knows, rather than taking a guess at the wine list.

3 star is about right. The hotel was average and in a convenient if very unattractive location. Dinner was disappointing too. Nothing wrong with it but quite expensive for relatively poor food. The room was anything but ‘a superior double’ although that was what the room was supposed to be. We went to town the second night and found some excellent food in a local restaurant ’Cote Cour’ at less than the cost of dinner in the hotel. Parking was good.

It is not located in rural countryside, but right beside a round about. Not noisy as such, but not as described. We had a good room on the ground floor, Privilege Room. It was not large, very comfortable and clean. Modern bathroom facilities and air con. Total 120 euro. We had a good night's sleep, the restaurant was good.

We had an overnight stay here. Very friendly staff and manager. Nice double room. A most delicious dinner - the best of our three weeks in France. Recommend highly. Staff very helpful when I left my iPad behind and arranged for it to be returned to UK by courier. We will go back next year!

We stopped overnight here, on our way home after a regular stay in the Midi Pyrenees. We’d planned to stop, as always, in Saumur - but it being a Sunday night our favourite restaurant there was closed, and although Azay-le-Rideau was a little further that we’d planned to drive, it offered what we needed - a great menu and private car parking. We now think we have a new favourite!!! The hotel was spotless and the staff welcoming, friendly, helpful and fun. Our room was small - but we were a late booking - but clean, comfortable and providing us with everything we needed. Dinner was totally delicious - our only problem being what to choose from the menu - and the service efficient but unhurried. Breakfast, self-service, but with help always at hand, the following morning was everything you could ask for. All in all an excellent, albeit brief, stay that we will repeat again - and again!
