We stayed here for 6 nights in September. Fabulous location overlooking the castle and 10 minute walk into Chinon with great restaurants and shops. We were doing cycling day trips and plenty to do.
The facilities on the site were OK, but no toilet paper and the showers lacked hook…
Perfect spot for a basic but nice stay in Chinon. Short walk into the center and all other attractions! All basic facilities were in nice condition and clean. We had a perfect spot for our tent, facing the river and castle views!

We stayed here in our camper van. The view from the site is wonderful. Just a short walk over the bridge into town. The facilities are pretty good, the pitches are large. Would stay again if we go back to Chinon.

"We had a pitch at the far end of the site, it was really quiet."
"Despite what you might think is a quiet location, take ear plugs if road noise keeps you awake."
"This is a campground along a river. All pitches seemed good and the bungalow tents especially nice."
"Plots furthest from the gate and reception, in the n-w corner of the site, are quietest. There are larger plots reserved for groups (mostly children and teenagers) to the left as you enter the site. Although the camp staff work hard to maintain good relations between the tourists and groups, pitch or park away from here to avoid disturbance."
