We spent one night here on our way further West. We wish we had been able to stay longer. This is a delightfully converted mill with a lovely terrace garden by the river. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with many nice welcoming touches. It was also incredibly quiet, with only the sound of the mill water to lull...

Stayed here for two nights in August before travelling west for a week's rent of a gite. The moulin is beautiful, and the bedroom and bathroom clean and comfortable. The evening dinner was superb, as were the breakfasts.

I booked this as a stop over whilst driving home to the uk from the south of France. It was easy to find and on first impressions really lovely. The hosts greeted us and provided most welcome chilled beverages. We were shown to our room which was spacious with an ensuite with both bath and shower, plenty of toiletries and towels.The...

We have just returned from a 7 week tour of France, on our way south we stayed at the Moulin and were lucky enough to have two nights on our return leg with John and Liam. During our trip we visited many and varied places staying mainly in Chambre d'hote but also Logis and Chateau, but the Moulin was our...

We've been staying with John and Liam for around 6 years now on our way down to the Midi by motorcycle. The Moulin St Jean is a lovely quiet spot, located on an island between two streams of the Indre, near Loches. We decided to stay for 4 nights this time so we could explore more of the Loire valley...

In line with other reviewers, we were totally impressed by the hosts, the location, the food and the advice we received on places to visit. We have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending this B & B and will be more than ready to return if we find ourselves in the area in future. If fact, we would go out of...

Extremely hospitable owner who provides an excellent breakfast and also dinner when requested. Very comfortable rooms and very quiet location. Very knowledgeable about places to visit beyond the usual well known places. We were pointed to some gems. A local restaurant (Les Routiers) with amazing low prices and good cuisine including wine

Despite indifferent weather, a wonderful 5 day break in a charming house in beautiful surroundings. John and Liam gave us a warm welcome and looked after us superbly, giving us suggestions for interesting visit and trips, based on their wide and deep local knowledge and history. Eating in was also a great pleasure where their skills combined to provide some...

John and Liam (and friends) were delightful. Nothing was too much trouble and John even made me porridge for breakfast when I felt unwell. Food was super as were aperitifs and nibbles. Breakfast selection excellent. Room was clean, restful and well equipped. The location, peace and tranquility were just what we needed and we were welcomed like friends rather than...
