My husband and I spent one night at the Foch Hotel this week. It was very last minute and didn't have anywhere to stay, so it came as a very pleasant surprise to find such an affordable option in the heart of the city! We took a room with shared WC and the experience was way better than our expectations....

Sorry to say this, but the 'hotel' is a complete dump. The one star that it deserves is for the owner, who is quite a character and the lengthy interesting conversations we had with him were the highlight of our stay there. When we got to the hotel, it was locked. We were let in by a couple of guests...

Would love to rate this hotel higher since the owner was so welcoming and kind, but the fact is this is a very old building with very poor insulation, so we barely got any sleep even using earplugs due to the overnight street noise. The good: friendly old owner, close to city centre and restaurants The bad: non existent insulation,...

The gentlemen who welcomed us, we presumed he was the owner, was extremely welcoming and friendly. He was happy to speak English to us and was a fan of Johnny Wilkinson, great kicker as he described him. We enjoyed chatting to him and were very happy with the restaurant he recommended to eat in. The hotel was very quiet and...

After a couple of telephone calls to enquire and book , when we arrived we were welcomed like old friends, nothing is too much trouble for the owner. He help with car parking in the garage and even gave me a bottle of mineral water when I realised I left mine in the car. The hotel is right in the...

The owner of Hotel Foch is so hospitable and kind! We had had a rather stressful arrival in Tours trying to drop off the hire car and we were still recovering from bouts of gastro so we were not in the best of moods. However, this lovely man cheered us right up. He asked us where we were from and...

The owner of Hotel Foch is extremely friendly and hospitable, making my stay very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and reasonably priced. The location makes staying in Tours very easy, and the hotel is nice and quiet. I slept well here and would definitely return to the hotel if I was back in Tours.

Well situated, easily reachable by foot from train station. The manager is quite nice and will tell you everything you wish to know about the city and more. Room was spacious. The neighborhood is lively, tons of restaurants and specialty shops in the area. You are also quite near the main street, where the new tramway will soon be running.
