The b&b was lovely, it was clean, well presented and nothing was too much h trouble for the very friendly and attentive owner. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. We stayed 3 nights and will definitely be returning to the same place next time.

Stayed here with my daughter for an 18th birthday trip to Paris. The room was 'cosy' (i.e. small but nice), clean and characterful. The breakfast/relaxation area is a great space, open, airy with lots of things to read if you're stuck on a rainy day. Location is terrific, not super close to the centre but we did the walk back...

Last year I was tasked with organing a group New Year's trip for a group of friends. We settled on Paris. The next task was finding a suitable place for 8. That's when we came upon Au Sourire de Montmartre. We rented four rooms, which are situated two to a floor, and almost had the whole place to ourselves. There...

We had the pleasure of staying in this charming B&B in the backstreets of Montmartre and were delighted by so many features: the quietness despite being in the middle of town, the comfort of the bed and the sheets, the delightful breakfast with personal touches, the warm welcome including a welcome drink, the fantastic tips and the cleanliness of the...

We tried hard to find one but there is really no downside to staying at Le Sourire de Montmartre. Rooms: Are very clean and nicely decorated. Each room has a unique style. Large bed with comfy mattress. There is free Wifi. It is very quiet at night, virtually the only thing we heard in the evening is other people using...

I really liked my room with the bathtub. It was quaint, a mixture of Eastern and Parisian decor. There was a bathroom en-suite which is always a plus. The breakfast was amazing, with more food than I could eat, but left me wishing that I had more room in my stomach so that I could try it all. It is...

The room is small as expected. It is a different type of location in a residence and it is a walkup so some may not want to do so. The owners are really friendly and helpful and they put on a typical french breakfast with small changes every day.

I've been at the Sourire de Montmartre with my partner and some friends, for a long weekend in Paris. Very nice and kind people given us a really warm welcome! The B&B is about 100 meters far from the metro station, in the back of an historical building, so really silent. The rooms are really comfortable, each one with its...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
