For a mid-size hotel it is unique and proficient, occupying several buildings adjacent to one another.. The buffet breakfast was just fine and offered a lot of choice. It does tend to get crowded at certain times, probably better to eat early. The neighborhood was easy to

I booked this hotel because it was on special and I needed to be in Paris. I was not disappointed. The hotel is much bigger that seen from the outside as it has a few buildings around a courtyard. Though it was winter when I went there, I had the sense that the courtyard is

Dear Jennifer V, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Tripadvisor. We are glad to read that you had a great experience, and that you loved the courtyard, which is an important and charming part of the hotel. We hope you had the chance to visit the Chocolate Bar installed there as well ! Looking forward to welcoming you back for your next visit, at Les Jardins du Marais. Sincerely, Karima Grine

We were recommended to this hotel by a very close Parisien friend who stays here several times a year, so we were very happy to book. As we were there for five days we decided to upgrade to a suite. Here is where we have a problem, in most hotels a 'suite' means connecting

We only stayed one night but it was just what we wanted. Tidy and well proportioned rooms, decent breakfast. Only minor blot was the bar service (and prices) with a bartender who couldn’t mix a vodka martini - he used cinzano!!Would otherwise recommend!

Dear Pamela, some hotels around the Arc are luxury hotels with all the trimmings and several doormen. The further you go to the east the lesser the price. I would advise checking in this TripAdvisor under popular European destinations for Paris. Start with hotels within the desired range of the Arc box, near the top and or limit your price range or category hotel. Give your date and the number of travelers. I have some limited experience in New York: Paris hotels compare favorably. Metro transport is cheap, generally safe and quick. So traveling some distance is not a problem for me when in Paris. I like the Marais where Hotel Les Jardins du Marais is found, but could equally have settled for a hotel a little it more close to the Seine. It is good to already start planning your date and hotel reservation early. January is generally not one of the busiest months but main touristic sites will be busy in the afternoons. Hope this helps.

Yes. We had made the mistake of taking it with us on the first day and it hadn't been charged. So make sure it is fully charged and use it to guide you around. You can also use it to call your friends and family in the USA for free. We called my father-in-law from the train to Paris from Versailles. Pretty cool.

"Not sure where the quieter rooms are, but if it's important to you, find out before you book."
"Hotel is a series of small buildings that surround a courtyard, which my room overlooked. Nice location."
"Do not get a room facing the courtyard. The cobblestones are noisy in the early morning with people moving their luggage"
"Have a drink and sit in the courtyard and absorb the quiet serenity."
"It's quieter in the rooms that are away from the street"
