Our room smelt strongly of musky gross men who probably stayed before us and the room was so tiny for the price we paid, not even enough room for a proper wardrobe, literally a bed and small clothes rail. Balcony was lovely but not worth the extra money as the view wasn’t great. We went initially to visit the main tourist attractions, shopping, romantic getaway etc. hotel was a little further out then we’d of hoped but a metro station was nearby and east to use. Hotel overall wasn’t in the nicest of places and the food was definetly not worth £80 for three nights, very low quality. Staff were friendly and helped us as much as they could but was hard to communicate as we are english.

Second time here and we had a better room than the first time. It was small (it’s everywhere in Paris) but quiet, nicely decorated and with a great rooftop view. A/C worked well.
For breakfast, you have plenty of cheap alternatives right around the corner, along with the subway station.

We had a small but very clean room, big bathroom, perfect location near subway and off the beaten path of busy Paris. Walking distance to subway put you in a perfect location.
Staff was pleasant, accommodating and very helpful. Breakfast was good, hot and cold choices.
Highly recommend this hotel

I stayed there years before they renovated. I was a solo traveler for 10 days. I’m shocked that no one mentions the views. The Louve is front and center! Beautiful! I hope someday to return ❤️. I stayed in the tiny room on the top floor. Had a wonderful ghostly experience, but I did move to another room. Loved it anyway. Best location!

We stayed here for just a night during a quick trip to Paris and it absolutely delivered on what we needed. Mostly very clean, well located only a very short walk to the metro and a short walk to lots of great bars and restaurants, off the usual touristy path. Would recommend for a short stay.

I stayed at this place for 5 days last week. This is a small and very comfortable hotel in 11-th district of Paris, located at a small and quiet street close to Bld. Voltaire. Before we checked-in I was worried a little bit about the location, but in fact it is a very good one as there are excellent transport links to all directions one would need.
It's hard to say which its category expressed in stars may be, because this is neither 4, nor 3-star hotel. It is far higher than 3, but difficult to classify as a 4-star one, because there are no fridge and wardrobe in the rooms. There are just a rail and hangers placed, which is a little bit hard to manage with, also no place where to put your suitcase. However, we know in Paris space is usually too small.
Rooms are small, but bathrooms are almost of the same size as the rooms are. Everything is clean and tidy, newly renovated which makes very good impression. Furniture is stylish with much wood and glass incorporated, thus creating lovely environment. Walls are painted in beautiful colors, bathrooms are well equipped. Soaps and shampoos are of a branded mark which makes you feel special.
There is a coffee maker in the room along with variety of coffee, tea and creamers, sometimes they forget to provide, but if you ask at the reception desk, everything is fine.
Breakfast is not hugely various, but things they propose are delicious and of an excellent quality.
Staff is definitely friendly and helpful, this makes visitors feel almost at home.
I was very happy with my stay at New Hotel Le Voltaire and certainly will recommend it to my friends.
Thanks for your hospitality, New Hotel Le Voltaire!

The hotel is very cozy, renovated and the aria where its located is very communicative with great axes to all types of public transport.
Recommend!
The cosmetics they use are Nuxe! Clean towels, no street noise, friendly staff.

We travelled as 2 adults and 1 13yr old. Not fussy & hate negativity but....

Pros...
- nice new hotel and quiet
- close to Metro and friendly staff

Cons...

- triple room had bed and a camp bed leaving no space at all to move or for luggage!
- asked for bigger room and this was the biggest. So small and cramped think twice.
- bathroom had glass windows that overlooked bedroom but if you got up to use it in the night it lit up the entire bedroom - not practical
- tea/coffee facilities were not replaced when cleaned but when asking at reception we faced hostility
- no wardrobe - just a rail and hangers
- no balacony with view as described, just a large window that looks onto the back of other buildings.

Shame as this could be a lovely hotel if the rooms were better sized!!

Pros
- location
- staff
- new hotel nicely decorated
- quiet

Cons
- bed way too small for a couple, ask for a twin room instead
- tiny room
- no wardrobe, just a rack with 5 hangers (no space for more) and a small space for tees and other stuff
- no space to store the luggage so we put them on the ground in the bedroom hall, which is not practical
- bathroom has an outside window (good) but also a glass door right in front of the bed that brings you light early morning and there is nothing you can do about it

The above cons do not match a 4 star hotel in my opinion...

If I have to book it again it would be under the following condition : bigger bed and room, which they might have, and darkness at night, which can be easily fixed by having the option to occult the bathroom window

Hello sonalshomakash, The Newhotel Candide is located near many restaurants and cafes. The Marais' district and the Pere Lachaise's cemetery are near our hotel. Finally, the neighborhood is secure for a family stroll. Do not hesitate to tell at the hotel's reception for more information. See you soon.
