This hotel provides exactly what it says on the tin. It is what you would expect from a French, city centre, 3 star hotel close to a major train station. The rooms are small but functional, and clean. There are almost no common areas but a small breakfast room serving actually a rather good breakfast. The rooms facing the front can be a little noisy from the main road but it is not to bad. This is a decent choice if you want a simple cheap bed for the night, near the Gare du Lyon…
The hotel is very near to Gare de Lyon (train station and big metro station also) and you are near to the most important sightseeing places. As the house is located in a small side street it's not very noisy even if you are so close to the station. There are shops, a very good italian restaurant and an excellent bakery very close to the hotel. The room was small, but ok. Bathroom was big, but very old (noisy shower). The bed was good and very comfortable. It is clean, but the carpet on the floor is very old an bit unappetising. Good W-Lan and very friendly staff. The breakfast is not very rich, but this is normal in France.…
Good little hotel in a very cool area. The building is beautiful and great value. They include breakfast in the rooms and it is very simple with great French delicacies. The rooms are very small but all rooms are in Paris. The staff are great. The public transport is close.
Friends of ours recommended this hotel as it is close to Gare de Lyon. It’s a typical 3 star hotel, very good location, walking distance to the Seine and many historic attractions, and great restos, boulangeries etc. There are two downsides: the free WiFi is very unreliable. It drops out very regularly, especially mornings/evenings. And the bedroom walls are very thin! Paris is the city of love, and on two nights we were woken by couples banging away above us and in the next room. Love and let love, but it was noisy!…
I chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the Gare de Lyon train station. The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. The location turned out to be great for a walk to the Seine with plenty of great restaurants nearby. The staff was super accommodating. I won't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others!…
