You can use your GPS on your smartphone/iPhone/Samsung for directions on which train and stop to take on the metro. It's quite easy to get around, however some stops/layovers can be a lengthy walk. If anything more than a 5 - 8 minute walk is a challenge for your elderly parents I might recommend an uber or taxi instead.
