Were there for 2 nights in freezing January. admittedly, the rooms need some work done as for example my shower wasn't working and couldn't be fixed. that doesn't matter, because we got so many smiles and positive attitudes, that you simply forget about those things that do not work and simply enjoy the overall experience. Breakfast is really outstanding. And...

I have stayed at this hotel a dozen or more times. The rooms vary widely, from the tiniest "classic rooms" with queen beds to suites and junior suites. The worst things are that some of the "so-called" king beds are actually two twins pushed together, leaving sleepers to fall between the two parts, and you can actually hear the Metro...

We have stayed at this property several times, and to be honest, after staying at other hotels in Paris on other visits, I was thinking this may be our last time at this particular hotel, but all that has changed, What a surprise, what an improvement. Starting from check in, where we were greeted by Sophie with a huge smile....

Right next to the Paris Opera, and designed but he same architect that did the Opera, the hotel is almost a museum as it is a hotel. The service is also fantastic with highly trained staff who value and excel at service. Rooms are a little over furnished which makes them look smaller than they are, but that is a...

I had a room that faces the Opera house and Opera metro. The view was good, the service was good, the hotel was well kept, the room was clean and comfortable, but there were some things that I would not expect from a hotel of this caliber, especially an Intercontinental hotel. The building has 5 floors and is an old...

Our family of five stayed the beginning of January at the IC Paris le Grand. I booked a Deluxe room for our girls and for my husband and I. As a Platinum Ambassador I was upgraded to a junior suite. My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and the service was wonderful. We had a lovely stay, rooms...

The Le Grand is a grand classy hotel. It was built in 1862 and it still have keep the atmosphere. We got a superior room which was quite small. You could not fit an extra bed. The bathroom was almost as big. The is a couple of stairs to reach the entrance, thus not that convenient if you have children...

Me and my partner went to Le Grand to celebrate our anniversary. Service was wonderful, attention in detail, decor was amazing, not just luxurious but also cultural historical. Location couldn't be better. It is just spectacular!

Usually I don’t write hotels reviews. I spent too many years in hotels on business all over the world. Review are generally useless. Now, I rate hotels only if they are much better of what I expected or much worse. This is the case. This time I decided to take a few days of vacation with all my family. Having...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
