When you enter the hotel you immediately feel at home. The receptionist was very helpful to give us some advise where to eat or where to park our car. The rooms are cosy, not to big but well maintained. We got a marvellous view over the roofs of l'ille Saint-Louis and the skyline of Paris. The breakfast is fantastic, served in...

We spent 3 nights at the Lutece, located on a street maybe 200 yards from Notre Dame cathedral, a Metro station, and, of course, the Seine. The rooms are small (not unusual in Europe) but comfortable. A boutique hotel, it has charm, a friendly staff, good breakfasts and comfortable. A problem for people who are driving, parking can be a...

We stayed here 1 night when we arrived in Paris. It was a very quaint, small hotel. Tiny elevator, tiny rooms, wonderful staff! I understand the hotel rooms in Paris are small, but I wasn't quite prepared. Even tough tiny, it was extremely comfortable and very nice atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again. A lot of character.

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
