Great central location for our site seeing. Very cozy and comfortable hotel with many nice shops and restaurants close by. Notre Dame just across the bridge. Just a few minutes walk to metro. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. They arranged for a shuttle from/to the airport which was very convenient. We would stay here again!

We had a very nice room on the front of the hotel. It was quiet. In summer with crowds, it may be noisy. Breakfast was not as good as I would have hoped. Service was good. Rooms in the middle of the hotel do not have windows, but are cozy. Breakfast is adequate and is in an nice room below.

Well located place in Paris on the Île Saint Louis between Notre Dame and Le Marais, this hotel is still "Super Clean!! Yes, sometimes you can ear people on the stairs ... but it's normal it's an old and typical Parisian hotel! Breakfast buffet is complete and super fresh. Personal is also super friendly and professional. ... oh, que j'aime...

On a previous trip to Paris, we enjoyed our visit to Ile St-Louis and knew that when we returned, we would stay on the Ile. Our Internet search and all the reviews helped us pick Hotel Saint-Louis en I'lsle. Thank you Trip Advisor and all you contributors. The Hotel was just as all the favorable reviews indicate. This hotel is in the center of Paris and the center of the universe. L'isle Saint Louis is truly Parisian and the quiet streets and quaint restaurants are wonderful. Denis is a wonderful host. If you expect a modern hotel with spacious rooms and baths, go someplace else. This hotel is in a building that is probably older than any...

Third time we've stayed at this hotel and will go back on next trip to Paris. Our room was on the top floor (5th European, 6th American floor). Room was small with slanted ceilings as would be expected under eves. WiFi could be better (slow and got bounced off). If it matters to you, only two English language channels (BBC...

This hotel is charming, cozy, comfortable. Every person on staff was so professional, friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our accommodations. We got wonderful tips on dining and surviving the metro from Denis at the front desk. We also took advantage of airport transportation to and from CDG which was very reliable. This Isle is a charming little community...

This was our first visit at the Hotel Saint-Louis en l'lsle....it won't be our last. The accommodations were very comfortable and the staff very friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. Located in a great neighborhood with many fine restaurants and easy access to transportation.

When we travel to Paris, we always stay on Saint Louis Island. The location cannot be beat. I mistakenly booked Hotel Saint-Louis en I'lsle, instead of our usual hotel, but we liked this hotel even better. We had room 501, which was on the top floor and found the room to be very quiet, roomy and comfortable. Denis from the...

The smaller island next to notre dame is our favorite. Great location. We have always wanted to stay in this hotel. We have stayed in its sister hotel. The rooms are very very small and we have the superior double for 205 euros per night. I think it is overpriced somewhat. The bed coverings are minimal. No duvets and terrible...

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
