The benefits of this hotel are that its just a few mins from Notre-Dame, the metro station & lies within the Latin Quarter where there are plenty of good restaurants Staff are very friendly & helpful. This is ok for a one or two night stopover but wouldnt want to stay any longer. Rooms were comfortable but a little dated...

A friend and I spent 5 nights there this summer. I originally booked it because it was wonderfully located (Latin Quarter, near Metro, right by Cluny Museum of Medieval Art, short walk to many things, including the river and Notre Dame) and reasonably priced. All of that was true. As well, the room was fine, the bathroom was fine, and...

This is a very simple hotel in a great area. The location is really the only thing it has going for it. It is not a bad hotel, it is just not a good one. The two main problems were that the door slam shut,so if anyone on your floor opens a door it will wake you from a dead...

Stayed for 2 nights in July 2016. We booked a room for 4 as this was cheaper but on arrival this was changed to a double and twin, much to our teenagers relief! Great little hotel 5 minutes from the Notre Dam and less to the nearest metro. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and nothing was too...

We spent 4 nights at Home Latin end Of July 2016 with my girlfriend. Let's be honnest, this Hotel is amazingly located with in the heart of Paris: 5min walk to Notre-Dame or to the Pantheon, not even 5 min to the nearest Metro station. Thus if you want to visit all the touristic places in Paris, this hotel is...

This hotel is in the perfect location - walking distance to all the main sites and a metro stop is just around the corner to get to the Eiffel Tower and other sites a bit further away. The rooms are very small but we had a triple - two bedrooms - with a lovely little balcony. It's a basic hotel...

OK - so the room was clean and the location is great (6 mins walk to Notre Dame, 1 minute to a small supermarket). The room has a safe, a fridge and lots of hot water but.... No air conditioning and communal areas in dire need of a facelift. Service sadly lacking (e.g. had to ring reception for Wifi code...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
