So I booked this hotel based upon all of the great reviews I read here on Tripadvisor. Well, the reviews and the price range. And the latter may be where I should adjust my perspective. The Good: 1) Location. Nice street in what felt to be a very safe and comfy part of Paris. Good walking distance to the Louvre,...

I am a solo senior traveler and had a small single room, looking out to an interior court, with a bathroom with a shower which suited me very well...as sometimes the tub showers are tough to exit. The staff, particularly the front desk, was wonderful, always greated me by name and with a smile. I requested coffee be sent to...

Dear Cathy, I thank you very much for these lovely words regarding your recent stay with us. The all purple bedroom is one with the last Manuel Canovas Fabric, We do also work a lot with Pierre Frey and Nobilis. Each room is different, new fabric in a 18th century buildind. Great location, the rooms are very cosy and comfortable. Front desk could not be more helpful and friendly. Good value for money. Close to shops, great food district and the Luxembourg park- walking distance to all the sights. Will stay there again when I return to Paris

If you're looking for that "Parisian feel" - this is the place! + Location (on a calm street, but just a few steps away from cafés, shopping, La Seine - everything) + Our rooms were beautifully decorated and a bit "budoir-esque" (in a good way:-). Feels very "authentic Parisian". Comfortable beds. + Nice staff, cozy common areas - One of...

Stayed here on my own in July 15. Very cosy room, elaborately decorated, nice bed. Ensuite clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Like most Paris hotels the room was on the small side. The only downside for me was the breakfast buffet which was disappointing. Overall a clean establishment located in the heart of the 6th Arr, a good part...

We enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. We were on top floor looking out to street. Bathroom was modern but yet you are in a 200 year plus building with timber beams and French wallpaper walls. Beautiful staircase and tiny Parisian elevator. Very friendly staff. Location is fabulous if you enjoy walking Paris.

My second stay at this hotel - absolutely brilliant location in St Germain des Pres. Surrounded by great restaurants, cafes and bars. Comfortable rooms, reasonable breakfast and good service. If you need to stay in St Germain at a reasonable price, this hotel is a great option.

The 4 Star rating is primarily based on the location...can't get much better. Go out the front door to your right and you're approximately 100 meters from Boulevard St Germaine and Cafe Deux Magot and Cafe Flore. Take a left and you're 2 blocks from the Seine and the Louvre. Like most of the hotels in the area, the rooms...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
