Have stayed at this Hotel over the years, my last visit February 2019. What a difference. The Hotel has had a complete makeover...no more shower water from the shower tray onto the bathroom floor. You now have a good size walk in shower with a choice of rain or normal type shower head. Nice lighting in bedroom with a larger TV on the wall, which now shows English speaking channels. Location is perfect for travel and local eateries, and the staff are always pleasant. A special mention for Stephan..the chief front desk clerk. You can do no wrong by staying in this refurbished Hotel.

Dear angusbtp, Thank you very much for your review of the Maxim Quartier Latin. It is always a pleasure for our team to welcome you in Paris and we are very proud to read your satisfaction with our services and our brandnew rooms. We have been focused on the improvements of our rooms and especially on bathrooms, following our guests' advices, in order to provide more comfort and the maximum of amenities despite the size. The TVs broadcast channels in differents languages and are more convenient with their larger screen. Our guests, from all over the world, can watch the news or TV shows in their own langugage. We would like to thank you again for your kind words and can't wait to see you again in Paris. Best regards

We stayed at the hotel for six days, at a double superior bedroom. It was really clean, nice decorated and new.The staff very friendly and helpful. As for the location itsi jusy across a metro station-which unfortunately we didn't use because of the strikes, that was a big trouble for us 'cause we rented a car(the worst choice for paris) but anyway..Also,there are near some restaurants and a super market, which is convenient. On the negatives, the room was smaller that it looked in the pictures, two people could barely move around the bed and the luggages, which I think it's a general issue in France, but I paid dor a superior room thinking that it shouldn't be so small. And,the breakfast was good, but I would like to have more choices. Overall I would recommend your staying in the hotel for the cleanliness and the location!!

Dear Explore39489349987, Thank you for sharing your review following your stay at the Maxim Quartier Latin. We are very delighted to read that you have enjoyed our services while staying in Paris. Our team is comitted to make you feel comfortable in our hotel and when you visit our city. The hotel’s location is a very nice point as it allows our guests to reach all the major points of the city by walk or public transportation (when it works). One of Paris major issue is the rooms’ size. As an old city it is difficult to improve the space inside buildings. However, we try to use every inches of space in the room to provide the best comfort possible and all the amenities necessaries. The Maxim Quartier Latin’s staff would be very thrilled to welcome you again during your next trip to Paris. Best regards Stephane

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, it was a really smart clean and comfortable hotel in a great location and the staff were so friendly.

We really liked the deluxe room and it was very comfortable for me (I am 6 months pregnant and find it hard to sleep but the bed was so comfortable I slept very well!) The room was very soundproof too so we had a very peaceful stay. We also liked that there was a nespresso machine in the room!

The check out at midday was great for us too as we could have a relaxing morning, the staff were very helpful when we checked our and let us store our luggage at the hotel for the day.

Excellent accommodations and will situated. I stayed there for 4 nights on a business trip. The room is comfortable (small, but it's like most hotel rooms in Paris) and the bed was really nice! Service was all great - all the staff were really helpful.
The breakfast was quite nice, including fresh baked croissants, cheese, and an egg boiler that let's you make soft or hard boiled eggs. It was a real treat.
On to of that, the hotel is around the corner from a metro station that lets you go anywhere in the city quite cheaply and quickly. Also near great cafés, shops and a lovely 12th century church.
I will definitely come here again!!

A lovely hotel in a perfect location. Stayed for 4 nights with my teenage daughter. Very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, breakfast was great. We had single beds and were on the 5th floor, the room had a small balcony to stand and look out. The bathroom was tight but not a problem, clean towels everyday and lovely wash products provided. Air con in the room which was needed in July!! A 2 minute walk to the metro or a 15 minute walk through the Jardin de Plantes to the Batobus. The staff all very friendly and polite. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

We stayed for three nights in this Latin Quarter hotel. We have been to Paris before and we were expecting small spaces but this was even smaller than what we imagined! Previous reviews mentioned not even knowing where to place suitcases and I stupidly thought they must have a lot of luggage to encounter that issue. No, our room was that small. My husband and I have a small carry- on and day pack/ purse sized back packs and we were challenged with how to arrange them. The bathroom was well equipped and equally small. So. Once you are past the size, this was a great hotel. A/C was on and cooled well during the 27 degree C days. There are 6 rooms on each floor, we were immediately next to the elevator but heard nothing at all. The room was very clean, cleaned and restocked daily, had a room safe, and a comfy bed. Breakfast was served downstairs and we enjoyed a consistently tasty selection of cold meats, breads, and pastries with a variety of cereals, yogurts, fruit, and coffee/ tea selection. Metro was a few short metres away. Despite the lack of space or view, would recommend because of cleanliness, A/C, location, and efficient friendly staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Maxim. It was selected by the company organising the business event I was attending, and I'm glad they chose this hotel. The breakfast was good, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. There were no coffee/ tea making facilities in the room, but the reception staff were happy to provide fresh coffee or tea in reception. The bathroom in the double room I stayed in was a little on the small side, but it is a minor quibble, and the shower was good. There were lovely touches, such as the framed pressed plants (herbarium specimens) on the walls. Really, I think it is worth the 5 bubbles, and I'd recommend, and hope to stay again!

The Hotel is well placed in a quiet street in the Latin Quarter, plenty restaurants around, parks to walk in and half an hour’s walk from Notre Dame and the islands on the Seine.
The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, willing to go the extra mile. Breakfast was a lovely continental that sets you up for the day. The room was very comfortable, if small, with a little balcony - for extra space & tea/coffee facilities you’d need to book a superior room - but the breakfast coffee was worth waiting for!
A fantastic place to stay for our first visit to Paris.
