These hotels are the smallest I've ever stayed in. It's a bed in a room with a tiny bathroom, a tiny desk and you can hardly walk around the bed. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the people's tv's either side, talking, and we even had to listen to people making love. It was awful....

A very compact room, but still met all our needs. We knew we would be out exploring so deliberately didn't book so where meals were included, especially with so much choice very nearby. Comfortable, and easy to locate once out & about. Look forward to staying again.

We stayed here for a weekend meet friends and to shop. I have been in Paris multiple times now and I know what to expect. This hotel has small rooms but why do you need a big room when you are in Paris? The staff is very helpful and friendly. It was clean and very good located which I think...

The location of this hotel is fabulous, especially if you're not planning on spending much time in the room. The staff, particularly Stefan on front desk, are extremely helpful and friendly. I didn't catch the night porters name on our first two nights but he was extremely helpful also. Our French wasn't the best but they were more than happy...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Overall, it is a nice hotel. It is close to an underground parking lot (2 blocks away) about $24 euros/night to park. Bars and cafes within walking distance. We were charged $10 euros for taking a pastry up to our room from the breakfast area. That was not cool. The reception staff speaks english very...

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the end of june. From the moment we arrived we felt truly welcomed by all the team we met. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The room was perfect looked right out onto the main street (not everyones cup of tea) but we loved being able to hear the sounds of...

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night in May 2015; the hotel is very close to the metro station; there are many restaurants and brasseries in the neighborhood. However the hotel is essential: the rooms are clean but the rooms are really small. There is not much space around the bed. Breakfast is not abundant. Wifi available but slow...

When my party checked in, I thought it very odd that the hotel did not have a safe in the room, as most hotels in Europe and the United States do. Sure enough, the day before leaving, the room was robbed of over 1,000 Euros. The police and American Embassy were very understanding and cooperative. Unfortunately, the hotel was very...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
