Impeccable, truly. They thought of everything, down to including bath salts for a relaxing soak. It’s the little things that make all the difference, and this staff leaves no stone unturned. Thank you for such a wonderful and relaxing stay - this hotel made me want to extend my stay in Paris! Heaven on earth.

This is aur third time at this beautiful hotel. It feels like a boutique hotel, small, classy, friendly and very pleasant to stay. Check in is superb, very welcoming every day, not only the first day, but every single day you stay with them. I went running every morning and they wished me a good run, and then, welcome me back when I was done. Location is unbeatable, that along with a nice spa, nice, heated pool, small but functional gym, very clean room and a GREAT service. This is a great choice and, in my opinion, the best choice in Paris, all in all, backed up by Marriot, that you could never go wrong with, such a prestigious hotel chain that cares genuinely for their guests.

This was our third stay at this hotel over a period of several years and I posted a very positive review in 2014. Oh, how things have changed here! I begin with the most serious of the offenses and indignities we suffered during our 5-night stay. I was entrapped in the hotel's elevator for a period of 10-15 minutes before the staff registered any response to the emergency alarm bell or my pounding on the elevator door. When a maintenance employee finally arrived, he said that the alarm bell notified the off-premises elevator service company rather than the hotel itself. I knew this was not accurate as I could clearly hear the alarm when I repeatedly pressed it. When I was finally liberated from the elevator and spoke with the on-duty manager, he apologized and said he had been in the "back office" and had not heard the alarm. The general manager of the hotel also stated that she regretted the "inconvenience." I think this event qualified substantially above the level of "inconvenience" and the manager's proffer of a fractional portion of the substantial Marriott points I had used for my stay was wholly inadequate for the life-threatening emergency that could well have been the case. In addition to this incident, we experienced an appalling indifference and lack of basic service from the staff of the hotel, including (1) absence of a bellman to assist with our bags upon arrival at the hotel by taxi ,(2) failure to deliver an additional luggage rack to the room following request of the bellman, (3) failure of housekeeping staff to make up the room for a period of two hours and after three requests when we inadvertently left the French-language "do not disturb" sign on our door, (4) failure to respond to three or more requests for towels that had not been left by the housekeeper, and (5) recommendation by the newest and least-experienced junior concierge of an Asian restaurant that displayed a "closed" sign when we arrived and where no employees spoke English or could provide an English-language menu. (In fact, with regard to the restaurant, the chief concierge told us the next day that she had "never heard of it.") We chose this hotel because we had previously had positive experiences, notwithstanding the fact that the rooms are extremely small (even with our upgrade from a "cubby hole" to a "shoebox-sized" room). The hotel's common area is beautifully decorated and the rooms are well-appointed despite their size. The problem with this hotel boils down to indifferent management and that is really a shame. It could be so much more!

Fabulous experience at this hotel! It was centrally located so we could walk most places- when we did need taxi the concierge was able to call one for us. This was especially helpful on our last night when we were trying to get to the airport while streets were backed up with Christmas market traffic. Breakfast each morning was delicious. It was also a nice touch that they had coffee and croissants in lobby for convenience. We checked in early morning after an international flight and were served coffee and hot chocolate while completing check in process. We also received a bottle of wine and box of chocolates as platinum members. Pool and dry sauna were enjoyable. Fitness center was small but ok. Room was an ok size. Rollaway was a mattress on the floor- ok for my child but might be an issue if for an adult to sleep. Overall I’d definitely come back!

As an Ambassador Elite, I've stayed at over a thousand properties over the years. I will have 250 nights just this past year. Hilton is my other brand of stay, and I've had Diamond status for many years. If you are expecting Renaissance Class accomodations for the extremes in what they charge nightly, then you are severely overestimating this property. I would classify it much closer to Marriott Courtyard in its rooms and offerings. We paid close to 600 Euro's for the night we stayed here, and in my estimation, this is closer to a 289 Euro/night accomodation. The rooms were tiny, the bathroom a microcosm comparably. They did not bother to upgrade, and gave some lame excuse that all of the suites were taken. They magically found one after some prodding, but charged us an additional 80 Euro's for a slightly larger room. Definitely not a suite. Check in was exceedingly slow. I was sitting at their makeshift desk for at least 20 minutes, while their computer was acting tempermental. Deception seems to be the MO, here, as nothing was as it should have been, or as stated. As I mentioned, though clean, the rooms are quite small, and certainly not worth 600 Euro's per night. I didn't even have a view outside; my room faced some type of small courtyard. Very dim; very dingy. The bed I had was in disrepair and the mattress sunk low. I sleep on my side, so I dealt with it (only one night, or I'd be in trouble). Definitely not like the good bedding that we are used to in the USA. More akin to sleeping on a park bench with a thick pad underneath you. There is no bar or cocktail lounge, and after a day of sightseeing or shopping, you have to go to a different hotel or establishment to have a glass of Champagne or cocktail to cap off your night. No balconies to sit out on. Although the bathroom was tiny, it did have a soaking tub and a separate stand up shower. The shower was micro, and the shower valve apparatus took up about 25% of the space. Truly cumbersome for their intended purpose. The fun part was when the water temperature went from comfortable to scalding and you had to jump out of the way to avoid getting scalded. Not a great experience. Paris can be a beautiful City with much to see and experience. Although you don't expect to spend most of your time in a hotel, it should also be an intimate part of your overall journey experience. You should find the experience to be both welcoming, and comforting. This property has neither attribute. There are so many beautiful hotels in Central Paris that has similar accommodation nightly rates. Pick ANY OTHER, and you will likely have a very memorable trip to recount in your memories. Travel safe !!

Renaissance Vendome is a slightly more modern hotel from Marriott family down the street from Westin. It also occupied a former historic site/hotel and it explained why there was only one elevator, which was small. However, the decor of the hotel is modern and youthful. The rooms are not huge but all have the modern amenities that we expect these days. I like the fun touches. The hotel is currently going through some renovation (October 2023), so many amenities like breakfast are served in a temporary area. The staffs especially the bell staffs are friendly and the security guard always greeted us when we left and/or returned to hotel. It is a nice hotel but I just wish the rooms are larger.

I am a Marriott Platinum member and have 67 days at Marriotts around the world this year. So I would say I am qualified to weigh in. Our stay was exceptional! The people and location made it, plus of course Paris itself. Let's start with Nickson, and all the bell people and waitstaff at this hotel. They were beyond excellent! I cant express how they made us feel and were genuinely happy to assist us in any way. The restaurant is under renovation, and we all know in any city thats a tough issue. The Hotel has compensated by offering breakfast in room and has opened common areas to accommodate their breakfast, which is understandable. Meanwhile, I'll continue with complimenting the staff. The Consigner was helpful and directed us to multiple excellent neighboring restaurants. Our room was comfortable, cleaned well, and in a timely manner. Location was excellent, and provided access to all things Paris! So at days end, we will call this a great stay in a great city helped by a great staff. Thanks as well to Front end Manager Ariane Allouche, who took the time to sit and chat with myself! Mahalo!!! (Thanks in Hawaiian)

This hotel is not a 5 star hotel. It is more like a 3 star hotel. The prestige king room we had was 2 twin beds pushed together. Except 1 was 6 inches higher then the other so you caved in the middle. The hotel room was not cleaned in our 3 day stay except the bed was made after complaining when we returned to our room at 4 pm. I have elite status so they put a box of complimentary chocolates in our room with an expiration date of 2 weeks earlier. When I asked the front desk about it. They sent an email saying that it is only a recommended expiration date and it is not a problem to eat it. No comment on how silly that is! Tried to have breakfast at the hotel but the coffee was horrible. Who has bad coffee in Paris! The turn down service is a person coming to the door at 9 pm and handing you a tiny chocolate. Really! DO NOT STAY HERE! So many better hotels in Paris!

Dear Sue2562, Thank you for taking the time to write this comment following your experience at the Renaissance Paris Vendôme. First of all, please be assured that we take all guests’ comments seriously and use them as an opportunity to improve our services. We are genuinely sorry that your room did not meet your expectations. The cleanliness of the rooms is of the utmost importance to us, and we regret that you had a negative experience in this regard. Rest assured, we are revisiting our housekeeping procedures to ensure a more consistent and timely service. As my colleague mentioned in his email, the date on the chocolates wasn’t the expiration date but the best-before date. Please kindly note that the expiration date is to be distinguished from the best-before date. The main difference between these two dates is that, even if exceeded, the best-before date poses no danger to human health. The best-before date is there to warn consumers of any loss of taste or texture in the product. Your comments about the coffee and turn-down service have been noted, and we will take steps to improve in these areas as well. We understand your disappointment and assure you that we are committed to offering a better experience for our guests. Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts, and we hope that you might consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with the exceptional service that we aim to deliver. Kind regards,

This hotel needs so much, where to begin. The price if $500+ per night should be closer to $150. Checkin occurred at a table with a laptop, not at a classy reception area. The restaurant is closed and they have no bar - again it is billed as a full service hotel and it is not. The carpet in the hallways are filthy - spotted. As for the room - it smelled and couldn’t have been noisier. The price this hotel charges is outrageous for what you get.
