Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is located on a quiet street, a few steps from the Metro Line 4. The location was wonderful for access to shopping, great restaurants, and access to Mountsouris and Ave. René Coty for running. Our room was more spacious than what we usually have experienced in Paris (and for that matter, other big cities in Europe). The bathroom was spacious and up to date. There was plenty of hot water, air conditioning, plus a safe in the room. Staff was friendly, helpful, and competent.

A quite small hotel just off the main road - therefore quite quiet. The rooms are perfectly adequate if a little basic, but well equipped and well prepared. The breakfast was very good. The proximity to the Metro makes this an excellent base from which to explore Paris. Highly recommend.

I chose this hotel as it was in a good location for me arriving by train and my husband by plane. It is a 20 minute walk from Montparnasse station or just a few minutes on the Metro then a two minute walk. Arriving from PCdG my husband took the RER then had a five minute walk. As with many hotel rooms in Paris, ours was small. But clean, bright and had AC which was essential in a heat wave. The bathroom was tiny but the shower lovely. Lovely good quality bed linen. The choice at breakfast was limited but we were quite late. We found a lovely restaurant ‘L’empreinte’ just 150m away. There is a great pedestrianised street Rue Daguerre, 5 minutes walk away, much like a traditional market with fresh produce stalls. Cafe Daguerre offers great people watching & good friendly service.

The places is small but very cozy, they have a very beautiful rooms but a little small. The ratio price/quality is very good. The staff (Sophie and Calvin) are very friendly people and help us a lot to figure out some questions we had. The area is not that close Frome the Downtown but definitely very good area to stay if you don't want to waste a lot of money. Is a metro station pretty close Frome the hotel

This is the first time I write a negative review about a hotel I’ve stayed at, most importantly due to the poor service. We were charged the same rate for two rooms that were of a very different standard. My sister and I were given a room that was so small and claustrophobic that our luggage didn’t fit. While some might argue that all Paris hotels are small, the inadequate design of this room made it very uncomfortable. My mom’s room was slightly better, but it had a bathtub instead of a standing shower which makes me question how considerate the hotel is in terms of accessibility. Thankfully, a kind lady at reception moved my sister and I to a bigger room on the fourth floor. This was very much appreciated by us, however, the floor and our room smelled of smoke everyday. Our showers were freezing in the midst of winter which left us feeling unwell. When we reported it to reception, we were told that this was due to a large number of residents showering at the same time which should not happen when customers are paying for a comfortable stay. However, I would have been understanding if this was an isolated incident, but we unfortunately had freezing showers throughout our entire stay! Many of the staff’s responses to complaints reiterate that hotels in Paris are small, however, this is not a complaint about amenities as much as it is about service and treatment of customers. Some staff members were particularly dismissive and condescending. Had these issues been addressed appropriately, I would not be leaving this review, but I do not appreciate how we were treated and would not recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Paris.

Dear guest, We are very surprised by your very bad comment as you did not tell anything during your stay. You had 2 big beautifull rooms one with shower and one with bath and you never complain during 5 nights ? We could have change the rooms. We usually have very positiv comments as you can read . We hope to welcome you again and you will choose your room. Best regards Sophie Reception Manager

I find this hotel ideal for when I visit family in Paris. The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is welcoming. I have stayed here twice and I would recommend it to anyone visiting this part of Paris. The price for a room is reasonable and the hotel is well positioned for every type of attraction from walking to sightseeing or hanging out with family and friends.

The hotel is quiet, all the staff is friendly and the room is small but confortable. My room was in the 6th floor and had two windows with nice view. The bathroom had a bathtub. The breakfast is of good quality but little choice. The nearest metro station is Mouton-Duvernet, which is quite close to Denfert-Rochereau, so it is very easy to move around. I would stay again in this hotel.

Although the breakfast has a moderate level, in any other sense this is a good hotel for its price. Good location, good service, receptionist are very helpful and very nice. Room was big compared to many other hotels of this class in Paris. I can recommend it for short stays.

Staff was very nice and property is a nice hotel with access to the Metro very close by. Given that we were staying for 4 nights, my only "complaint" would be I wish they didn't put us in the smallest room (Room 403) to start our stay. Fortunately, another person working the desk (I believe it was on of the managers), recognized this and moved us to a nicer sized room (Room 401). Overall, I really did enjoy our stay there. Fortunately, we got a great deal and our experience was a positive one! I definitely would stay again. Just don't put us in a room the size of room 403. :-)

rooms are too small for the price , sitting at the desk to work was impossible in room 403 and barely ok in room 405 circulating around the bed was a delicate task the shelf space in the bathroom is minuscule in room 405 and was almost inexistent in room 405
