This hotel is an excellent base for exploring Paris. Particularly convenient for Montmartre and Sacre Coeur, which are in walking distance, but well-positioned for taking the Metro to all the key sights. Open mini-bar and lobby bar is a novel idea and saves you a fortune, especially as you can visit any of the 16 Astotels in Paris for soft...

Booked a great value package through Easyjet including breakfast. We found the hotel perfect for a 4 night stay. Friendly staff, convenient location (close to Metro and Gare du Nord), the room was clean and comfortable, fresh towels every day if needed. The rooms are not large but there is adequate storage, mini bar was replenished with water/soft drinks every...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Palm for one night from February 6th to 7th. The young people running the place were outstanding!! Especially helpful were Fayssal and Laurine. Our every need was provided for, one of many examples: our converter for power did not quite fit the outlets, we were cheerfully provided a converter that worked (free of...

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Palm for our week in Paris. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are simple, but very functional with nice bathrooms. Even though there was a cold spell during our stay, the rooms very warm and comfortable. Everything was very clean. The breakfasts offered a nice variety of continental fare...

Hotel is ok - i was expecting better! Rooms are quite small. And it was freezing in the room even with the heating on as there was a breeze coming from the balcony doors and the bed covers were so thin. I didn't find the breakfast to be anything special - lots of pastries which were ok and the eggs...

I heard so many bad stories about pickpocket in Paris so I hid 100 Euro and $40 in my little cosmetic inside my carry-on luggage. On the second day, I forgot to zip the carry-on and when I came back to the hotel, all my money was gone. I reported the front desk right away next morning and also went...

Stayed here for 3 nights, the staff were very friendly and the hotel offered complimentary food and drink in the lobby area 24 hours a day. The room was of good size and clean. We opted for a room on the top floor with a balcony, from which the top of the Eiffel Tower was visible. It is in a...

My mum and I had a very nice trip to Paris, staying here. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and had enough room for us. With the window shut there was very little road noise, and if we lebt out of the window we could see the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Hotel is in a good location; a reasonable...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
