This is a small but comfortable hotel in a very touristic area of Paris, but which is quite safe. The room I was in was very clean, and so was the bathroom, clean towels and sheets. The receptionist was very friendly and offered to give me advise on where to go to have a bite or something to drink. My...

Clean room, lovely staff, with wonderful recommendations. Yes you are in the red light district(Pigalle), however that did not spoil our stay. Our room had a balcony and the Eiffel tower was a gorgeous sight. Very close to the metro, and a short walk to a lot of areas. My friend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were small...

Beautiful, clean, modern room, decorated with charm and taste. All the 21st Century amenities. Evokes the spirit of Montmartre, a time of surrealists and absinthe. Centrally located, you can walk to the Gare du Nord. Out the door, up the Rue Lepic, you are in my favorite part of Paris, it feels like a neighborhood where you can buy your...

Stayed here for 4 nights on the 7th floor. Had a fantastic view of the Eiffel tower. Had a small balcony with a table and a chair - perfect view for breakfast. It is conveniently located both close to the metro and a nice walk to a convenience store, grocery store, and up to St. Denis. The staff was incredibly...

To start, went on a mother and son trip to Paris and London. My mother booked the whole trip (flight/hotel) and I was charged with the exploring/sites part of the trip. We took the train/subway from the airport to the hotel. It was very conveniently located near the train. To my surprise there were many "red light" district business around....

Even if you are not seeking the attractions of Bd de Clichy, this is great value for a Paris hotel. Rooms clean & (by Paris standards) spacious. Big comfy beds. Helpful staff <£80 a night. What could be better?

We chose this hotel because of location, you can't fault it as very close to Moulin rouge and metro is within 1 minute walking distance to hotel. Easy access to metro. Pricy breakfast but many coffee shops nearby. Many good restaurants nearby, just not on Pigalle. Well worth the low cost in Paris. Maison de Abbesses is a good restaurant. Le Chat Noir next door has a heavy smoke smell.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
