Just spent 3 nights at the Langlois Hotel including New Years Eve.... Decided on this hotel after reading all the trip advisor reports..... and was not dissapointed. I found it too be a really charming, typically Parisian hotel....The rooms we had, numbers 12 (99 euros)and 14 (89 euros)on the 1st (2nd?) floor, were both fairly large, although the bathrooms in...

We stayed two nights in room 41. This room has a huge bathroom and a very comfy bed. The room is at the back of the hotel and quiet with no view, not a problem for us though. Loved the lift, although as my husband got a pedometer for Christmas, had to use the stairs. The staff were friendly, and...

We stayed at the Hotel Langlois on Dec. 24, 2004 for one night. We picked this hotel based on the reviews from trip advisor and we were not dissappointed. We stayed in a suite on the second floor facing the street and it was not noisy. The room and bathroom were large with very high ceilings and very clean. Also...

We just returned from a week (Christmas to New Years) at the Hotel Langlois. It was great. My mother had room 11 and both the bedroom and bath were huge - she was in heaven. My husband and I had room 22 and the bathroom was typical of a European bathroom and the bedroom was larger than others in more...

The well-travelled writer Ernest Hemingway once complimented Paris as being "a moveable feast". Well, so is this hotel, for which we're indebted to this website and to those who've made such useful contributions to it. It's so helpful to have current opinions, even negative ones. Thus we weren't expecting a synthetically swish corporate hotel with robotic if multilingual staff. Just...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
