The Mercuri Paris Opera Lafayette is certainly the worst Mercuri hotel chain I stayed along more than ten years, if you compare daily rate and benefits. The room carpet need to be changed urgently (too old) and internet speed should be better. It call my attention that this hotel is four stars ranked, reason I choose it among other Mercure... More

I stayed here recently for two nights when I was visiting a friend. The location is great and very convenient. However I was mis-sold my room when booking through Expedia. When I sought the help of the staff on this, they appeared disinterested and at one point during my stay when trying to resolve this I found the evening staff... More

The hotel has fairly decent rooms with friendly staff. The hotel is in thr busy area and walkabke distance from Ru De Lafyatte. With plenty of options as its surrounded by many restaurants the hotel is definitely value for money. The front office staff are very nice especially Mr Jerome and the General Manager Ms Linda Zarouar are very caring... More

It is an old hotel with new design. Its personnels are very kind and helpful but it doesn't have enough staff for example It doesn't have bellboy for helping you to carry your baggages and you have to do it yourself. The room is very clean but it is very small for two people even standard double room. ( it... More

Located at the center of Paris, this hotel is neither near the Opera and Lafayette and was quite a walking distance from the nearest Metro Station. So if you have big bags it would be a major inconvenience. We booked a room in this hotel last month at a "Special Offer" according to the Accor Website. Upon arrival we were... More

One of the tiniest rooms I have ever stayed in!! It was closer to a wardrobe than to a real bedroom...terrible! Using the toilet with the door closed is not recommendable for people with claustrophobia. The room does not have a normal table (just a thin piece of wood that is supposed to play the role of table) so I... More

When you book a Mercure Hotel you expect a certain standard. Sure Paris has limited space and lots of hotels have small rooms and limited public space, but for a Mercure this one is very disappointing. Tiny rooms and a tiny lift to reach them. We stayed here for a weekend as a birthday treat. It´s in a very good location, nice neighbourhood full of bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel is quite average, a little expensive for the quality. The rooms wasn´t huge, but it was more than enough for two people.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
